How PixelTrim handles your photos and data — in plain terms, section by section.
Your photos
Every resize, compression, format conversion, and enhancement PixelTrim performs happens locally on your phone using Android's on-device image APIs. PixelTrim does not upload your photos to us, to any cloud service, or to any third party. We have no server that receives your images, and no one at PixelTrim can see the photos you process.
Processed photos are saved to your device's own Pictures folder (Pictures/PixelTrim) using Android's standard MediaStore — the same place any gallery app saves images.
What we collect
PixelTrim itself does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email, or contact list, and does not track your location. The only data collected comes from two third-party components built into the app: Google AdMob (for ads) and Google Firebase (for basic app infrastructure). Details on each are below.

Advertising (AdMob)
PixelTrim is free to use and shows ads through Google AdMob to support development. AdMob collects a limited set of data to deliver and measure ads:

Where required by law (including the EU, UK, and applicable US states), PixelTrim requests your consent before showing personalized ads, through Google's User Messaging Platform. You can review or withdraw ad-personalization consent at any time from your device's Google settings.
Ads appear on the Home dashboard, the Editor and Enhance screens, and the History list — never inside Settings, and never overlapping a Save/Apply button. Learn more about how Google uses this data in Google's Partner Sites policy.

Firebase
PixelTrim includes Google Firebase's core configuration for app infrastructure. As of this version, no Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or other data-collecting Firebase feature is active — the configuration is present but unused beyond what AdMob itself requires to function. If that changes in a future update, this policy will be updated first.

On-device storage
PixelTrim keeps a local history of the photos you've processed — file names, before/after sizes, and thumbnails — stored only in the app's private database on your device. This history is never transmitted anywhere and is deleted the moment you clear it from Settings or uninstall the app.

Sharing and sale of data
We do not sell your data. We do not share your photos with anyone. The only data leaving your device is the limited advertising data described in Section 3, sent to Google as our ad-serving partner, under Google's own privacy terms.

Your choices
Clear your history anytime from Settings — this removes all locally stored processing records and thumbnails.
Reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization from your device's Google Settings → Ads.
Revoke photo access anytime from your device's App Info → Permissions — PixelTrim simply won't be able to open new photos until you grant it again.
Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data immediately.

Children's privacy
PixelTrim is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Ad personalization is automatically limited on devices or accounts flagged as belonging to a child, in line with Google Play's Families policies.

Security
Because your photos and history never leave your device, they're protected by your device's own security — screen lock, encryption, and OS-level app sandboxing. We recommend keeping your device's lock screen enabled for an extra layer of protection.

Changes to this policy
If we change what data PixelTrim collects — for example, by adding a new feature that requires network access beyond ads — we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
