 Why LED?

LED lights are energy efficient and durable alternatives to traditional studio lights, offering more consistent light output over time and superior brightness. LED bulbs last longer, provide excellent color quality, and are safer to use than tungsten lamps. In the world of photo, video, and broadcast production, LED is a solid choice because they run quite cool and vastly reduce studio cooling costs.

SOONWELL MC8 RGBWW Pixel Pocket Light with Music Sound Effect

Brief Instruction:

MC8 is a simple button-control, palm-size, multi-functional LED lights, features in Standard CCT, HSI, pixel based special effects, BGM music sound effects, and life assistant lights, with built-in battery power, it can support more than 2hrs' running time! Full application on different photography, video, filming lighting needs.

Features:

1. Standard Color Temperature, Superior Accurated Color, and HSIMC8 has a standard color temperature range of 2600 to 6000K in normal CCT mode and a high CRI of 96+, indicating superior accuracy in the rendering of color. It also has an HSI mode that gives the user access to myriad custom colors.

It is very similar to the FastLED Light platform. In fact, most addressable lights are supported through both light platforms. Thedifference is that they use different libraries: while the fastled platform usesthe FastLED library, this integration usesthe NeoPixelBus library internally.

type (Optional, string): The type of light. This is used to specifyif it is an RGBW or RGB light and in which order the colors are. Defaults toGRB. Change this if you have lights with white channel and/or the colors are in the wrong order.

do i have to make every step of this effect in a que list or is there an easier way?

i would like to make some of these effects above but it would be a bummer to change all the lights from all the 12 matrix panels per que per effect, is there a way to copy it somehow over to other fixtures?

but the solution lays in the swing intensity, i made presets of the pixel map in one fixture, added those in the steps of the swing fx and the effect goes trough all the presets. I can also use this effect on other fixtures without the need to pixel map them all.

So I have a 30x7 Pixel map that I made for a bowling Alley that is 100% working. I want to make some very simple user interfaces for the bowling alley with Magic Sheets but the pixel map does not display what the lights are actually doing.

I actually haven't tested this out in the bowling alley because we only had time to hang one lane of lights and do some basic effects for a demo today. But a few weeks ago I did use a pixel map with a much smaller amount of lights and what I am describing happened. The lights changed but if all I had to look at was my computer screen I wouldn't know that anything was happening at all.

They have thirty lanes and everything needs to live on a normal bowling alley counter. So I'm probably going to use pixel maps as a reference and do some absolute effects instead. That way they will show for the person running it.

I also would like to see the Pixel Map effects output reflected on fixtures in Magic Sheets (or the other way around would be useful too).

It'd be very handy in situations like if you're running a green color chase EFFECT through your fixtures (which would be shown on the Magic Sheet), but you're also running a blue pixel map effect (which would be seen on the Pixel Map Preview) at the same time. You could do the two side-by-side display suggestion and get a rough idea of what is happening, but neither display would be 100% accurate in showing which fixtures are lighting up in green, blue, or cyan.

Another example would be if you simply had some of your fixtures with their intensity off. The Pixel Map preview only shows what would be happening if all fixtures were turned on at the same intensity level. But let's say if half of your fixtures were turned off (especially in random locations or running some kind of intensity effect) it'd be very hard to determine what the overall display would look like without having the lights in front of you. Again, the Pixel Map Preview doesn't reflect the intensity or color of your fixtures, and the Magic Sheets don't show the output being generated by the pixel map effect.

So it would be a very helpful feature if one of them would accurately show the accurate overall output of your fixtures. Or even if there was a third display of some kind that would combine the two would be acceptable.

AX1 is a powerful pixel controllable LED RGBW baton that can be mounted at event and film sites to light up people and objects or create indirect lighting effects. A highly creative device that offers an infinite range of possibilities.

All Astera lights contain a wireless DMX module by LumenRadio, enabling them to be controlled by CRMX and W-DMX transmitters alongside other wireless fixtures. The AsteraBox has built-in CRMX and can be used to transmit DMX data to your lights.

Via the AsteraApp the PWM frequency of the LEDs can be adjusted to ensure that there is no interference with standard cameras. In addition, the light has a green/magenta balance to minimize post-production work.

With this innovative feature, the lights can double as a battery-powered emergency light. When activated, the fixture can detect power loss and instantly switches to bright white light to illuminate the venue.

I am playing now with shaders to apply a lighting/shadow effect on my pixel art sprites for Witchcrafter. This use case is very specific, but the idea could be used for high res sprites and high res normal maps. The main issue with this is lack of support for multiple textures for sprites - therefore the common approach to have two sprites - normal map and color sprite forces us to utilize 2 draw calls and join the data in the render target

The color palette is specially selected, to easily distinguish the values of RGB in fp - cloak is orange, gloves are cyan, boots are magenta. Such pixel art is even more convenient to animate in traditional frame to frame animation, because the selected colors are very distinguishable.

You may notice above picture has already even shading on them, but this assumes that the main source of light is always in front/left side of the sprite. When sprite is flipped to go left, the shading is still static, so the main light source looks like is from front/right. This is accepted in many games, but for a witchcrafter who can create custom, dynamic sources of lights with fire spells, this looks unnatural, when a campfire is on the right side of such sprite - it was bothering me a lot

As you can see above the two sprites can be merged in the game engine and given a data about lighting (either with other texture with drawn lights or some other uniforms-based solution) you can achieve a fully lit, dynamic object. Unfortunately, for pixel arts using a full scale normal map it outputs very high res lit object, which looks smooth, but it does not ressemble any hand-drawn pixel art, because it has two many tones in the color pallete 2351a5e196
