I got a hot pixel on my Canon 60D's sensor I had it for about a month and considered getting it checked by warrenty repair, recently I found a video where the canon camera had the problem as mine. They fixed it by using manual sensor clean for 30 seconds and it indeed fixed their problem and when I tried it, it fixed mine too. The problem affected videos shot on my 60D more than photos, especially in dim or low light conditions. I still have warrenty on the product but because there is now no hot pixel on videos or photos shot on the camera, (and if does not appear in live veiw anymore) I am not sure if they'll look at it.

When you perform a manual sensor cleaning, the camera normally flips up the mirror and opens the shutter and holds it there indefinitely so that you can inspect and use cleaning techniques (air puffers, soft brushes, or cleaning swabs) to clean the "sensor" (but that's really a "filter" -- the actual sensor is behind the filters).

BUT... in order for a sensor to work, a charge has to be applied to it. When you perform a sensor cleaning, the camera specifically clears the charge on the sensor (I don't know the low-level details -- perhaps they reverse the charge) and this has the effect of helping to clear "stuck" pixels.

My understanding is that virtually all DSLRs have a "stuck" pixel or two... It's very common and most use a process similar to Canon, to map around the "bad" pixel (after all, there are 18,000 pixel/photo sites on that sensor). Or maybe it's as Tim describes, applying a fresh charge to the site re-energizes it somehow. Heck, I'm no expert, but whatever is happening, the "fix" usually works and solves the problem.

I guess it's possible for a bad pixel to reappear... perhaps if you reinstall the firmware or do something else that clears any mapping-around instructions stored in the camera... or for new ones to appear over time. But it's easy enough to repeat the "fix", if needed.

When you set up Facebook and Instagram by Meta, you can add a pixel to track customer data and behaviour on your Online Store. To use a Meta pixel, you need to set a customer data-sharing level. It's up to you to decide how much data you want to track using the pixel. The Standard data sharing setting sends only customer behaviour. The Enhanced and Maximum settings send additional customer information including name, location, and email address.

If you work with an advertising agency or use an app to manage your Facebook ads or traffic, then make sure that adding a Meta pixel to your online store won't cause duplicate or incorrect data in your reports.

You can create a new Meta pixel directly in Facebook and Instagram by Meta by clicking Create new in the pixel set-up box, or you can create a Meta pixel in Facebook Ads Manager. To create a pixel in Facebook Ads Manager, refer to the Facebook Help Center.

When you add a Meta pixel to Facebook and Instagram by Meta, the pixel integrates with your online store. A Meta pixel can be added when you're setting up Instagram Shopping or Facebook Shop. Before you can add a Meta pixel, you need to activate data sharing in the Customer data-sharing section.

In the Customer data-sharing section of your Share data settings in Facebook and Instagram by Meta, there's a list of pixels that you have created. Click Connect to connect a preexisting Meta pixel or click Create new to create a new Meta pixel.

If you edited your theme file code to add a Meta pixel, then you need to remove the pixel code before you can add a Meta pixel ID using Facebook and Instagram by Meta. If you don't remove the pixel code, then your store will have more than one pixel on it, which can result in duplicate or incorrect data in your reports.

After you add a Meta pixel in Shopify, the pixel tracks certain events on your online store, such as when a customer views a certain page. For more information on customer data-sharing events, refer to Facebook data sharing.

On July 1, 2023, management of Meta pixel is moving from your Online Store Preferences to the Facebook & Instagram app. To continue tracking customer behavior and analyzing store traffic, you need to add your Meta pixel to the Facebook and Instagram app.

Does manual mode use pixel binning or is this feature reserved for superior auto ?

Hi, so we have a 20mp sensor here, and clearly the "superior auto" is using some sort of pixel binning to produce its 8mp images. Is this true when selecting image sizes smaller than 20mp in manual mode? e.g do both the 16:9 and 4:3 8mp modes use the binning or it this exclusive to the "superior auto" mode

And on a related note, is there a good reason why the superior auto drives the ISO so high compared to the manual mode at auto settings? It seems that any indoor or night photography in superior mode is an absolute disaster! Blurry, grainy mess most of the time; no such issues in manual where dimmer conditions are less of an issue.

On a related note, any chance of Sony changing the behavior of the camera launch button, and lock screen shortcut? This always launches the horrible superior mode, whereas the app shortcut has the prefered behaviour of booting into the last used mode. I was hoping not to have to root my phone to fix software issues as I have with almost every other phone I've owned, but this issue will be a deal breaker for me.

Steve, there is already a big thread on the camera and Superior Auto mode... maybe a good idea to add to that one and keep it all in one place? -Z1-Compact/Sony-Z1-Compact-why-is-the-camera-so-poor-Comparison...

I mostly use manual mode in 8MP 16:9. Would be nice if it could be set default as it seems to produce lower noise images compared to other 8MP smartphones I've had so far. With non moving objects and steady hand you can get even better results dialing low ISO and HDR mode. Other times the auto ISO seems to work better to trade off noise for shake free image.

I've been through the camera thread and it basically seems to be a string of people complaining. I was hoping to get an official line from Sony regarding the pixel binning in manual mode. (ie is it used in manual or not?)

And my other point was not so much on the camera quality per-say, more so will Sony consider changing the shortcut behaviour, again, an official line would be good on this. I'm sure most Z1C owners would prefer the camera key and lockscreen shortcut openned the camera in their prefered shooting mode.

BUMP.

This may have already been posted and I missed, it but I'll post this in case. Charles Bracken - the author of astronomy books including Deep Sky Imaging Primer - is "big fan of APP" and has posted a Quick Start Guide to APP. You can get it here: -astropixelprocessor-quick-start-guide/

Welfare issues in broilers include inactivity and poor leg health. Activity can be stimulated by providing whole dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BFSL), but it is unknown whether this effect changes over time. Therefore, effects of BSFL provisioning on broiler activity per minute were assessed in detail. Additionally, the use of pixel changes as a proxy for broiler activity was explored. Broilers were housed in groups of 28 (n = 4 pens,

There are quite a few feature requests all over the net and here years ago about this simple feature that any cheap fitness tracker can do. I have the Pixel Watch 2, the watch is great, the watch is pricey BUT the watch can only measure Spo2 at night??? I do NOT use the watch at night! I would like to measure my oxygen level independently.

I just got a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8 and so far I love it. I've been trying it around the house with the 25 mm f1/7 and it's gorgeous. Only when I use the lens' manual focus, when it's at it sharpest the screen and digital viewfinder show blue pixels in places. It is not there in the pictures, but it does show on the screen. I'm still getting into the nearly 400 page manual and troubleshooting, but is this normal? Is it just what this camera does? It doesn't show in the eventual pictures but it is somewhat distracting. Is it due to my screen settings? Something ISO/exposure related? I feel pretty uninformed right now. I've fiddled with the ISO and the general settings and the exposure dial but now I'm wondering if this is just a thing or if my particular camera has issues. It looks a lot like the supercrappy screen on the late 90's camcorder I once owned, so it really should do better. Any help would be appreciated! It's not there in autofocus, which baffles me even more. 152ee80cbc
