Host a recruitment event (if possible)

Have the Warden (or a substitute) set up the chamber per document instructions
Have member kits opened and ready for the unity presentation and the vesting
Find 4 guys in addition to yourself (the presiding officer) to read and present.
Review the exemplification for any other stylistic details.
Bring a podium (preferably the wooden one at the Newman center) or use a music stand.
Find a sizable Crucifix and place it on the credence table near the podium for the charity presentation with the other supplies.
Have the presenter on Charity have a rosary.
Purchase an after-the-fact food to celebrate.
We need their information for the Attendance log, GroupMe, and Email system in addition to the Supreme Roster
If you send them this link, it will walk them through every part: https://sites.google.com/view/piusxiiknights/why-join/become-a-member
You can also pull up the page and have them scan the Qr code at the bottom, it may be worthwhile having a paper copy of the page
They first complete the e-membership sign-up.
The first form the fill out will be sent to the warden folder and he can transfer to the attendance log.
The will handle email and GroupMe next
Phil has a e-membership quota, so he will always be very insistent up this.
It is probably best to let him have his way on this.
Their information "should" populate in the Prospect tab in officers online (our financial secretary can handle the transfer in but the point is ensuring all of them come in)
If it doesn't either they did not confirm their email or Supreme had an issue which is less likely but has happened.
If it does you will need their member number and the rest of thinformation from the form
Have them complete the form 100s (transfer in and all other applicable blanks) and complete e-member registration.
BEFORE HANDING IT TO THEM: Fill out the degree dates
Supreme just assumes first Degree unless otherwise noted and it has happened many times
Get a Group Picture (immediately after, if all of the candidates a just candidate picture)
Submit here
Send to kofccrusader@gmail.com
Sign the Constitutional role (after the ceremony)
Complete the communication form and have them scan the QR Below (as mentioned above)
There were several guests including one wife, a father, and several of the Newman center women. We hosted a Knights information night to share what it means to be a Knight, the financial benefits of being a member as well as its role in sustaining our mission to serve, and the joy of the Christian masculine fraternity through service. We provided attending members and potential candidates with a spaghetti dinner. This resulted in all potential candidates being willing to join, except one. Totaling 14 new official members, the Newman Center council increased its active membership by a little bit more than 50% at this exemplification. Hailing from several states, most of these candidates will not likely remain in South Dakota after graduation, but will hopefully return to their home parishes and join a local council bringing the creative courage they will hopefully have learned during their time at SDSU. The challenge that faces every council is no less the case for Newman center councils. Namely, the need for recruitment to not only enrich the fraternal and service aspects of being Knights of Columbus but also of survival. Every year the Newman council loses more or less a quarter of its active members to graduation. Prior to this exemplification, if the Newman council had given up its efforts to share what it means to be a Knight for oneself and for others, the active membership of the Newman council would remain with only the financial secretary and the district deputy in 2 years. We cannot afford as Christian men to stop sharing Christ with others, and as Knights, we must not stop sharing all that we profit from serving and offering Him who is Love Itself, with the world and our fellow Christians. The world needs a Christian, the world needs a Knight.
