Matthew M. Piszczek, PhD.

Welcome to my personal website, where you can find out more about my work and background.

I am currently an Assistant Professor of Management at Wayne State University in the Mike Ilitch School of Business, where my research is focused on work-life role management and workforce aging. I teach undergraduate and MBA classes in human resource management. I was previously an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management with the School of Business at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and worked with UW Extension in the creation of the UW Flex business program as an Ad Hoc Program Specialist.

I completed my entire education at Michigan State University, with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and Linguistics in 2007, a Masters in Human Resources and Labor Relations in 2009, and a PhD in Industrial Relations and Human Resources in 2014. I have experience with consulting projects on various HR topics including grant writing for training programs, job analysis, selection process validation, and adverse impact analysis.

I'm a member of the Academy of Management (HR and OB divisions), the Labor and Employment Relations Association, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Work and Family Researchers Network.
