A descendant of the Silver Arowana adapted to short bursts of flight. This adaptation has been selected for since their diet mostly consists of flying terrestrial insects. Their pectoral fins have widened and hardened to be properly used for primitive flight. Their flying style mostly resemeble butterflies, with large flaps with the ocassional soaring. While their pectoral fins have widened and hardened to accommodate this flying style. Their bottom fins have hardened and developed muscles to help them rest upright on the ground. Though most recently though their bottom hands have allowed them to grab fish on the surface as well.
Like the sandraco with it's strange name, the seasoarer also shares this as it is found everywhere. Even beyond the seas of brackish, even at the highest of mountain tops. Each population found on different areas tend to favor different prey. Seafaring populations have started growing longer snouts, and sturdier wings to catch and eat fish. Foresters are more adapted to crushing up large invertebrates such as terrestial amphipods and dragonsfly nymphs.
However this wide range has made them come into conflict, specifically the forests and plains. As they're one of the only large prey options for Sandracos. With forest variants taking up to 70% of a draco's diets, though this has selected for a variety of traits. From camoflauge in the trees, to more aggressive figthing. However one group seem to be developing their tail and bottom fin muscles, enough to be quick enough to escape. However this is selecting for stronger and quicker sandracos, setting off an evolutionary arms race.
