Purpus Serpent

Stalking the various cabomba forests, a long slithery predator stalks it. With accuate smell and powerful echolocation, these predators are the local apex. Their serpentine body make it easy to weave through, while also corraling prey into it's mouth. The purple color helps them blend in while night, which is the time they're most hungry and active.

Currently they're the smartest organism on the planet, with the intelligence on par with an orca but without strong social behaviors. Often using tools like hanging dead fish in reeds to lure in prey. However while they may intelligent, they are not invulnerable. Due to needing air, being tangled is quite dangerous. If they do get tangled then they slowly drown to their deaths. Though this rarely happens as they do assist each other.

Though they do slither onto land sometimes, to occasionally chase down some dracos and soarers. However some stay longer than usual on land, no one knows why they do this. Another interesting thing is that each new generation yields more and more.
