Raja Debroy was born on 18th May in Agartala, the capital of Tripura. His father, Mrinal Kanti Debroy, is a retired teacher (Physics) and his mother is Shipra Debroy. Raja Debroy is a distinguished writer, philosopher and international author. He has written numerous articles, essays, free verses, humorous writings, dialogues, plays, stories, poems, science and detective fiction in Bengali, Hindi and English.

His writings have been published in numerous literary magazines in Tripura, West Bengal and Bangladesh. He is a member of the London Poets Club. His writings have also been published in various anthologies in Italy, America and Australia.

Raja Debroy has received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to Bengali, Hindi and English literature. Some of his notable awards include "Shabder Jadukar" (Magician of Words) from the literary magazine "Tuli Kalamer Akash", "Best Micro Storyteller Award 2020" from the literary magazine "Masik Bajra", "Best Essayist" from the literary magazine "Aparajita", "Best Writer" and "A Prominent Writer of the Present Time" from the literary magazine "Charulipi".

He has also received the "Sahitya Sadhak Samman-2021" award for his Hindi poetry and secured the "Sarvashrestha" (Best) position in a competition. He has been conferred with the title of "Literary Lieutenant" by StoryMirror for his English writings.

He has received numerous "Best/One of the Best Co-Author" awards for his contributions to various poetry anthologies. In 2023, he received the "Sahitya Subarna Samman" award, which was held at a hall in Jadavpur University.

He is inspired by Nachiketa Chakraborty and Satyajit Ray in the world of writing.
