Happy 2025! To kick off the new year, we are encouraging our Prairie Dogs to grab their favorite books and start READING!

The Pioneer PTA is sponsoring a Read-A-Thon fundraiser January 20 - February 7, 2025. This will be an online fundraiser using 99 Pledges, similar to what we did last year.

This fundraiser benefits our school and our students through a variety of PTA funded items.  Funds raised will help support classroom supplies, academic enrichment, school support staff, and so much more!

Donations can be made based on minutes read or as a flat dollar amount. Donations will be collected online through February 7nd. Our goal is $20,000!

We encourage everyone to check out their online Pledge Page and participate! While donations are great, they are not required. We want everyone to participate to challenge their reading endurance and enjoy the adventure! Please use the 99Pledges website to record minutes read per day.

In the next few days, you should receive an email with a link to your student’s pledge page with more information.

Thank you for your support! Please email any questions to pioneerelementarypta@gmail.com.

How it works:

If you did not receive an email from 99Pledges regarding your students' personalized Pledge Page, one can be created online at https://app.99pledges.com/fund/PioneerReadAThon2025/addme.

Estimated reading minutes to be completed during the read-a-thon for 4-6 grades is 600 minutes (assuming approximately 30 minutes of reading a day). For TK-3, it is estimated at 400 minutes (assuming 20 minutes of reading per day). For the little ones still working on their reading skills, this time includes minutes someone is reading to them as well.

Dear Friends and Family,

I am participating in read-a-thon fundraiser to benefit my school, Pioneer Elementary. Over a three-week period, I will read as much as I can and track all my minutes of reading. I would appreciate if you could help support me by making a pledge (donation) per minute of reading or a simple flat donation.

Thank you for all of your support and encouragement!
