Pinned Tabs Keeper is a Chrome extension that remembers your pinned tabs and reopens them when Chrome starts. This policy explains what data it handles.
The list of your pinned tabs stays in your browser. The extension never sends it anywhere.
The extension does not track browsing, show ads, or sell or share data.
Payment is handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe. The extension itself never sees your card details.
The extension saves the following with Chrome's extension storage (chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.session). It stays on your computer:
Pinned tabs: the address (URL), page title and icon address of each tab you pin, plus when it was last updated
Settings: whether automatic restore on startup is turned on
Open-tab bookkeeping: which open tabs match which saved entries. This is cleared every time Chrome restarts.
Last license status: whether you have paid and when the extension was installed, so it keeps working offline
Only pinned tabs are recorded, and incognito tabs never are. The extension does not read page content.
Uninstalling the extension deletes this data from your browser. You can also remove a single entry at any time with the Ă— button in the extension's popup.
Pinned Tabs Keeper uses ExtensionPay to handle the free trial and the one-time purchase. ExtensionPay processes payments through Stripe.
Before you pay or log in, nothing is sent to ExtensionPay. The install date used for the trial is stored by the ExtensionPay library in Chrome's sync storage (chrome.storage.sync). If you are signed in to Chrome with sync turned on, Chrome syncs it to your Google account.
When you click "Unlock" or "Log in", the extension gets an anonymous license key from ExtensionPay and opens ExtensionPay's website. There you enter your email address and, to buy, your payment details. Card details go to Stripe and never pass through the extension.
After that, the extension sends only that license key to extensionpay.com to check whether you have paid. This happens when Chrome starts and when you open the popup. The license key, your email address and your paid status are then also kept in chrome.storage.sync.
The extension never sends your pinned tabs, browsing history or page content to ExtensionPay or anyone else.
Your email address and purchase record stay with ExtensionPay, so you can log back in on another computer or after reinstalling. To have them deleted, contact us at the address below.
ExtensionPay's handling of your email and payment is covered by its own privacy policy at https://extensionpay.com/privacy. Stripe's is at https://stripe.com/privacy.
tabs: to read the URL and title of pinned tabs, and to reopen them
storage: to save your pinned-tab list, settings and license status
favicon: to show site icons in the popup, from Chrome's own icon cache
Access to extensionpay.com: lets ExtensionPay's payment page tell the extension that a purchase went through
The extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at the same address with a new effective date.
