Welcome to PinkChat.
At PinkChat, we believe that true connection requires a foundation of trust. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the PinkChat application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of our Terms of Use. By accessing or using PinkChat, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the practices described in this Policy.
To provide you with a seamless and engaging experience, we collect information across three main categories: data you provide directly, data we collect automatically, and data we access via device permissions.
Account Credentials: When you register, we collect essential details such as your username, date of birth (for age verification), gender, and geographic region.
Third-Party Login Data: If you choose to log in via third-party services (like Google or Facebook), we receive profile information permitted by that provider, such as your display name and profile picture.
Profile & UGC (User-Generated Content): Any additional information you choose to share, including your bio, tags, photos, videos, and messages sent to other users.
Support Inquiries: Information you provide when you contact our support team, including your email address and the contents of your message.
Usage & Interaction Data: We track how you interact with PinkChat, such as your connection logs, features used, and matching history, to improve our algorithms and ensure platform safety.
Device Information: We collect hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (e.g., Android Ad ID), IP address, network type, and language settings.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and analyze app performance. You can control cookie preferences through your device settings.
To enable PinkChat's core social features, we may request access to specific device components. These permissions are always optional and require your explicit, in-app approval. You can revoke them at any time via your device settings:
Camera: Used strictly for taking profile photos and enabling real-time video chat functionality.
Microphone: Used for voice messaging and audio during video chats.
Location (GPS): Used only if you opt-in, to display nearby users and enable location-based matching. We do not track your background location when the app is closed.
Photo Library: Used to allow you to upload existing photos to your profile or send them in chats.
We process your data only when we have a legitimate basis to do so. Our primary purposes include:
Providing the Service: Operating PinkChat, creating your account, facilitating video chats, and enabling location-based matching.
Personalization: Tailoring the content, profiles, and recommendations you see based on your preferences and usage patterns.
Safety & Security (Crucial): Moderating content (via automated tools and human review) to prevent fraud, enforce our Child Safety Policy, identify abusive behavior, and protect our community.
Advertising Identifiers: Where applicable, we may use the Android Advertising ID (also known as the Google Advertising ID / GAID) for analytics/data analysis, improving user experience, fraud prevention, and personalizing your experience in the app, in accordance with your device settings and applicable platform requirements. We do not use these identifiers to serve third-party ads inside the app or to engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.
Communication: Sending you essential service updates, security alerts, and responding to your customer support requests.
Legal Compliance: Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and valid law enforcement requests.
Marketing Communications (If Applicable): Where permitted by applicable law and based on an appropriate legal basis, we may use your contact details (such as your email address) to send marketing and promotional communications through email. These communications may include product updates, new feature announcements, personalized recommendations, special offers, and other promotional content.
You may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by using the channel-specific method provided in the message (for example, an “Unsubscribe” link in marketing emails) or by contacting us at help@pinkchat.app. Opting out of marketing communications will not affect service-related communications necessary to operate and secure your account.
If we offer promotional SMS/text messages in the future or in regions where SMS marketing is available, we will provide opt-out instructions in the SMS message and you can opt out by following those instructions or by contacting help@pinkchat.app.
Note on Peer-to-Peer Communication: Where technically feasible, direct video or audio chats are transmitted peer-to-peer. However, text messages and media may pass through our servers temporarily for delivery and automated safety moderation before being deleted or stored according to our retention policies.
We do not sell your personal information. We only share your data under the following controlled circumstances:
With Other Users: Information you willingly place on your public profile (e.g., username, bio, photos) is visible to the PinkChat community. Please exercise caution when sharing sensitive information.
With Service Providers: We partner with trusted third-party vendors who assist us with cloud hosting, data analytics, content moderation, and customer support. These partners are legally bound by strict confidentiality agreements and may only use your data as directed by PinkChat.
For Legal & Safety Reasons: We will disclose your information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with a valid legal process, subpoena, or government request; (b) enforce our Terms of Use and policies; (c) address fraud, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, or safety of PinkChat, our users, or the public (including mandatory reporting of CSAM to organizations like NCMEC).
Corporate Transactions: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified of any such change in ownership.
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. You can do this by:
① Using the "Delete Account" option within the PinkChat app settings.
② Sending a formal deletion request to help@pinkchat.app.
Upon verification of your deletion request, we will permanently delete your account profile, credentials, and uploaded media within the timeframe mandated by applicable law (typically within 30 days).
Please note:
Messages or content you have already sent to other users may remain on their devices.
We may securely retain certain limited data (such as device identifiers or basic transaction records) for a longer period if required for legal compliance, tax purposes, or to prevent previously banned users from circumventing safety suspensions.
Opt-Out Retention: We may retain a minimal record of your marketing opt-out preference (for example, a suppression-list entry) to ensure we honor your request and avoid sending further marketing communications.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, you have the right to:

However, please understand that no internet transmission or electronic storage system is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will notify you via a prominent notice within the PinkChat app or by sending an email before the changes take effect.
