PingDirectory

PingDirectory Server (PD) is a high-performance, extensible directory, and part of the Ping Data Platform. It provides seamless data management over a distributed system based on a standardized solution.

From the various design sessions that have taken place, Ping Identity Professional Services and Cisco Systems Architecture teams have identified and defined a list of current schema attributes which need to be synced.

Professional Services will help with initial setup including deployment and application onboarding. Additional projects can be arranged at any time for additional use cases or complicated tasks, including custom integration kits, custom data sources, migration projects, application onboarding, or significant changes to the original setup.

The backup times for the Ping Products that capture the configuration and data associated with the implementation are on a standard basis. Ping Directory will perform full backups every 6 hours. Restores will be handled by the onboarding team before go-live and the global support organization will handle restores post-go-live.

As part of the migration, each application user will be synced under their own application branches. To have a simple 1-1 mapping between AD & PingDirectory a decision has been made to use default attributes and to keep the attribute naming context the same in PingDirectory. I'm struggling with Microsoft SQL Data Sync Agent, which I need to setup the windows Azure platform. In the ms sql data sync agent preview, the "Ping Sync Service" is successfully executed.My windows firewall is allowing ingoing via port 1433.

It seems you are trying to sync SQL Azure with SQL Express which is not supported and not tested. That's why when you try as described above you get that error. Based on my experiences there are issues using with SQL Express and SQL DataSync and SQL Express is not listed helow:

The data is stored in around 1500 indexes and we have been running without issues for over a year. Recently we have had a need to query more of the data in the cluster and are now running complex queries across more indexes than previously.

I believe the cause of this is that there is so much transport activity going on (seen in network graphs) that the network card becomes saturated to a point where the clusters state/alive pings actually time out. This is seen on both the masters and the nodes as errors showing the pings timed out followed not log after by the instance receiving the missing ping and logging that it arrived after it expired.

To prove this was the issue I added 2 network cards to all the servers in the cluster and used Linux bonding with roundrobin to give me a 2GB ethernet card rather than the 1GB previously used. I have the same issue and can confirm that I have performed a factory reset of the router to ensure I am working from a clean slate. I get the Cloud data has not been downloaded. Make sure you have an internet connect etc etc.
