Explorers of Sky was definitely one of my favorite games growing up, and I was wondering if there would be any point in playing the previous versions of it, Time and Darkness. I don't know how the storyline would go for Time and Darkness considering what happened in Sky. Could someone recommend whether or not I should play Time/Darkness? Thanks!

No. The story of Time and Darkness is quite literally the exact same as Sky, but less. Time/Darkness and Sky do not have the same relationship as, say, Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald, where the third game hashes both plots together with a little bit extra on top. Sky is the exact same story as Time/Darkness but with more minor plot points like Shaymin Village and Spinda Caf, or fun side quests like the Special Episodes, and less variety of starters. I played Explorers of Darkness before I played Sky and there is nothing Time/Darkness have that Sky doesn't.

Does anyone know what the actual ruling on this scenario would be? Last night me and my partner were playing a local 2 person match play against 2 other guys. We were tied after 16 holes and the sun was starting to set but it was far from "dark" in my opinion so we all 4 proceed to tee off on 17. My buddy pipes one right down the right side of the fairway about 285, I tee off next and hit a 6 iron right down the middle about 190. Then the other two guys tee off, the first guy pops up his driver about 50 yards off the tee box, his partner goes next and does the SAME THING! Lol Then they turn to us and say "Its WAY to dark, I can't even see my swing"! Meanwhile, from where we are I can see my ball in the fairway and my partners ball about 235 yards away. They continue to complain about it being dark but both proceed, they both hit terrible shots and complain even MORE about it being dark. I told them that I honestly didn't know the rule on "opinion" but I can see fine and was going to finish the hole being we started it. Both me and my partner finished the hole and both pared the hole, the other two guys just watched us and didn't finish and said it was too dark. We all 4 drove in and bypassed 18 and went to the club house. So I believe since they did not finish the hole it should be conceded since we started it and we would be up 1, correct? My other question is that being we all did not formally agree to quit, do both teams conced 18?

I believe since they teed off on 17, their only option would be to mark their balls in the fairway and continue with the match from that point in the fairway the next morning. Since everyone bypassed 18 that would seem to be an agreement to suspend play.

Nice! Thanks Socrates!

Not saying that is all there is to it (there should have been some guidance from whoever is running the matches), but in this circumstances it seems clear that the other team didn't like how things went and wanted to void their bad play.

Problem is it was match play and you guys played out of turn. They would have an argument to go to the committee and force you to recall your shots if the committee determined that play should have been suspended due to darkness.

When did they play out of turn?

What makes you say that they played out of turn?

They did play out of turn, if their opponents only hit 50 yard drives and the OP's team finished the hole.

Unfortunately, in match play, only the last stroke may be recalled and it has to be done immediately. Since the other team didn't immediately recall any strokes, it's a little late now and a non-issue.

You can play out of turn in match play. It is a common misconception that you can't. You just have to be ready to have your stroke recalled. By my informal polling in this forum a while back, it felt like 90% of match play opponents would never recall a stroke.

To the OP, if I were your opponents, and felt it was too dark, I would have recalled shot after shot of yours until it really was too dark to play and you agreed to suspend the round. Since it didn't happen this way, I would say that you won the 17th.

I am afraid that would not do. Should they recall the strokes of their opponents due to playing out of turn they should play their own shots. If they would not do that in due course they would lose the hole according to R6-7 (undue delay). One just cannot wait until it gets too dark to play, one needs to keep on playing until it is.

The OP stated that the opponents already felt it was too dark to play.

As far as I can find in the Rules, opponents cannot decide it is too dark during the play of a hole. They can agree to suspend a match anytime, I think, if they agree upon it.

But in so far as who is correct that it is "too dark" I believe that is a decision the Committee would have to make. With the absence of a Committee, and opponents not being able to agree on anything, I believe the match should continue through the end of the match, the 18th hole, or midnight. Whichever comes first.

The opponents continued playing the hole until somewhere near the green and didn't finish (watched them putt out) so there likely was no opportunity to recall any strokes.

I think I covered the rest in posts #3 and #5.

To clear up some of the "playing out of turn" questions, what happened was that after they hit twice and were still not up to my and my partners ball they said it was too dark and refused to keep playing. It was at that time I told them I thought it was fine out still and since they were not going to play anymore I was going to go a head and finish out the hole.

On another note, my pro at my course contacted some rules guys from the MGA (Minnesota golf association) and the Minnesota PGA and they both said that under 6-8 that any team refusing to continue WITHOUT complete agreement from the whole group would be subject to disqualification. So, we win the match.

And, imo, that is the correct decision (based on Decision 6-8a/5). If your opponents didn't agree, they had the opportunity to lodge a claim with the Committee, following the procedure outlined in Rule 2-5.

And yeah, does sound a bit cheap. Will be interesting to see if and when NetDuma supports the game if you'll be able to really minimize the amount of players that do connect so you can just roam the DZ by yourself. The DZ is def a very unique multiplayer experience.

I was looking for some advice on how to play Dark Souls on PC with keyboard/mouse. I want to start the game(s) and I'm not comfortable using a Gamepad, so... Is it possible to finish the games without a gamepad and can you teach me to play that game with keyboard?

If you can use keyboard/mouse in the meaning of if it's harder: there is no objective answer for it. Some players might prefer using the gamepad, some may prefer using the keyboard/mouse combo. If you want to hear my opinion I went better with keyboard/mouse maybe because I don't play with the controller a lot.

You also requested somebody to teach you how to play it with the keyboard. You can find the standard key mapping for controlling the character on this wiki page. It's the basic WASD controlling that is used for most of the games where you control a character. The camera angle is controlerd and attacks are started with the mouse and it's buttons. 589ccfa754
