Pill AI CHS is an educational STEM and utility application developed by the Science, Mathematics, Technology, and Environment (SMTE) project at Chalermkwansatree School in Phitsanulok, Thailand. The App is designed to assist in counting and detecting tablet medications using local computer vision and embedded artificial intelligence. We are firmly committed to user privacy, data minimization, and total transparency regarding device permissions.
A. Camera Access (android.permission.CAMERA)
Purpose: The App requires real-time access to the device camera strictly to capture live video frames for automated visual pill detection and counting.
Transient On-Device Processing: Camera frame data (YUV420/RGB) is streamed directly to local memory (RAM) and processed entirely on your physical device using embedded ONNX Runtime inference engines (best26.onnx).
No Video or Audio Streaming: Live video streams and sensor feeds are never broadcast, recorded, uploaded, or transmitted across any network, external server, or cloud infrastructure. All camera buffers are immediately discarded from memory after inference.
B. Storage and Photo Access (Optional / User-Initiated)
Purpose: The App provides a manual screenshot feature allowing users to capture and save the camera HUD counter view directly to their device gallery.
Local Scope: Saved images remain solely on the device's internal storage and are never automatically synchronized, tracked, or accessed by our development team.
Pill AI CHS operates under a strict Zero-Data-Collection policy.
No Account Registration: The App does not require account creation, login credentials, or user authentication.
No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect names, phone numbers, physical addresses, or financial data.
No Sensitive Medical Records: We do not request, process, or store personal health records, patient medical histories, prescription schedules, or personal health profiles.
No Telemetry or Tracking: The App does not collect unique device identifiers (IMEI, Android ID), Advertising IDs, or precise GPS location data.
Embedded Machine Learning: All computer vision detection is executed locally via on-device Edge AI (YOLO neural network architectures running via ONNX Runtime).
No Third-Party AI API Calls: Your images, frames, and visual inputs are never sent to external cloud AI service providers (such as OpenAI, AWS, or Google Cloud APIs) for processing or training.
Pill AI CHS does not integrate:
Third-party advertising networks or ad display SDKs.
Behavioral analytics or marketing tracking software.
Social media login integrations.
Because Pill AI CHS does not collect, transmit, or host user data on external servers, we maintain no retained user records or databases.
Local Deletion: All operational cache and user-saved counter screenshots are stored locally on your device and can be permanently deleted by the user at any time through device storage management or by uninstalling the App.

Not a Certified Medical Device: The App is not a certified medical device under the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or any equivalent health regulatory authority. It is not designed, marketed, or intended to diagnose, cure, treat, mitigate, or prevent any disease, illness, or medical condition.
Professional Consultation: The App does not replace clinical verification or professional pharmaceutical judgment. Healthcare practitioners and end-users must independently verify all pill types, physical dosages, and medication counts before administration.
Pill AI CHS does not target, collect, or solicit information from children under the age of 13. Because the App collects no personal information whatsoever, it fully complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and international child privacy standards.
