I am currently Assistant Professor (with Tenure Track) of Economic Policy at the University of Palermo, from which I also received my Ph.D. in economics.
In 2019-20, I worked as a consultant to the IMF’s Independent Evaluation Office, helping with an assessment of IMF advice on the use of capital controls. During my Ph.D., I was also a visiting scholar at the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund working on a project on regional adjustments to shocks.
My research interests cover a wide range of issues in the areas of regional economics and macroeconomics. Recently, I also started working on the economic effects of the green transition.
Since 2023, I am Associated PI of the project "A World of shocks: multi-layers multi-shocks resilience (Mu-Res)" funded by the PRIN 2022 PNRR Call.
