👋 Hello! I'm Piergiuseppe, a professor of Telecommunications Engineering, working in the field of research and innovation.
🎓 My academic journey started in April 2008, when I earned my M.Sc. degree from the University of L'Aquila (Italy), under the supervision of Prof. Fortunato Santucci. Then, I obtained a Ph.D. in Telecommunications from the School of Electrical Engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology, in January 2013, under the supervision of Prof. Karl Henrik Johansson and Prof. Carlo Fischione.
💼 My professional journey took an exciting turn in August 2014, when I joined Ericsson Research. Over the course of five enriching years, I served as a project manager and researcher, specializing in radio networks for machine-type communications. My contributions extended beyond the research realm, as I also represented Ericsson as a standardization delegate in the Bluetooth SIG, playing a role in shaping the Bluetooth mesh standards.
🏫 In August 2019, I returned to the University of L'Aquila. Here, I have the privilege of serving as an Associate Professor and I coordinate the Master's Program in Telecommunications Engineering: Advanced Technologies and Services. I'm committed to nurturing the next generation of engineers while pushing the boundaries of research in this dynamic field.
