Screams of Silence was originaly writen as the opening track for the EP Demonic Delusions but was later swapped with Wrath of Diana. It is one of the first songs that Mike wrote the lyrics for.
The Scream is the popular name given to a composition created by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch in 1893. The agonized face in the painting has become one of the most iconic images of art, seen as symbolizing the anxiety of the human condition. Munch's work, including The Scream, would go on to have a formative influence on the Expressionist movement. (wikipedia 2022)
I have seen him taking her away
My precious love she couldn’t remain
Stolen, before my eyes
Never to return
Claimed as his own
You are forever gone
A pitch black misery
Comes over me
Frozen I stand
In my eyes you see
Screams of silence no one can hear
I don’t want to continue anymore
Without her I am incomplete
I’ve been cast in tears and blood - blood, blood
Everlasting cycle of pain
Aborted happiness, my heart is a cold grave
Please take me to - take me to
Screams of silence no one can hear
Taken away
Happiness disappeared
It’s like the suffering in this poisoned world
Flows inside me, through my veins
It’s so hard for me to accept, the loss of you
That I will never see you, ever again
Screams of silence no one can hear
Taken away
Happiness disappeared
