The working title for this song was "Immortal" because the opening distortion riff reminded us of their blackmetal sound. Searching for inspiration to further develop the song we stumbled upon a piece of art with a poem attached to it and "L'immortalité' was born.

Skeleton answer me: what have you done to your soul?
Greed, malice and wickedness have sent you down below
Immortal life and endless grace cannot be gained by tainted spirits
Deserted cage, What have you done with your beautiful bird who sang her song?
It flies away on the wings of freedom but not the eternal life it yearned
Slave answer me: What have you done to your master?
No mortal man may ask favor of Death
Skeleton confess to me: Why have you forsaken your soul
Was is to endlessly walk this world
Did you bargain for the might of gods and beasts
Was it the weakness of mankind
Torch, What have you done with your blaze?
Volcano what have you done with your heat?
The warmth of life left and nothing else remains
Skeleton hear me: you walk this world alone
Skeleton hear me: I grant your wish of everlasting life
Live out your final days in the cold of this cage
