Picton Press has been established for 27 years and is now run by the company directors, Dennis Hague and Gary Kennedy.

In April 2000 Picton Press purchased Muhlings Printers one of the oldest printing businesses in Western Australia.

In November 2001 Picton Press merged with Alken Colour Media, a company with over 30 years experience in prepress. The merger of Picton Press and Alken Colour Media brings together both facets of the printing industry – prepress and print.

The company presently employs 55 people including the principals themselves.

Picton Press has grown from a 3 man operation in 1988 to a well respected locally, nationally and internationally awarded print company.

The highlight of many industry accolades being the first printer in Western Australia to be internationally awarded with a Benjamin Franklin in 1997 for best category.

At Picton we are committed to maintaining a reputation for excellence. We support and promote the belief that providing the best quality service and products every time will encourage our customers to always use Picton.

FAQ - Perth Print

Can you use a file I send via email?

Definitely yes. There is no difference between a file copied to a CD and sent as an email attachment as long as it is a valid artwork file.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of items I can print offset?

There is no minimum or maximum number of print items. Depending on the job, the printer will be taking 100 to 500 print runs to get the correct output. Meaning, to print 1 copy or 100,000 copies takes the same make-ready effort. For that reason, printing less than 500 copies in offset will not always be economical – and smaller jobs should be done in digital print. Just be aware, with offset, the larger the quantity the lower the cost per print.
