This Privacy Policy explains how PicSwipe (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the PicSwipe mobile application (the “App” or the “Service”).
By installing or using PicSwipe, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
Application / App means PicSwipe, the Android mobile application you install and use on your device.
Device means any mobile phone or tablet that can run the App.
Personal Data means any information that can be used to identify an individual, such as a name, email address or online identifier.
Usage Data means data collected automatically when you use the App, such as app interactions and error information.
Service Providers are third-party companies we use to provide parts of the Service (for example, Google for advertising, sign-in, and billing).
You mean the individual user of the App.
Google Sign-In (optional)
If you choose to sign in with your Google account, Google may share basic profile information with us, such as:
Name
Email address
This information is used only within the app (for example, to display “Signed in as …”) and is not stored on our servers or shared with any third parties.
We do not require you to create a separate PicSwipe account.
PicSwipe needs access to your photos and media in order to sort and manage them. For this, the App may request the following Android permissions, depending on your version of Android:
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES or
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
All photos and videos are processed locally on your device. PicSwipe does not upload your media files to any server controlled by us.
Third-party services (such as AdMob) do not receive direct access to your photo library through PicSwipe.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings, but some features of the App may no longer work.
When you use the App, certain information may be collected automatically, such as:
Type of device and operating system
App version
Anonymous information about how you interact with the App (for example, which screens are opened, general feature usage)
Crash and performance information
This information is mainly collected through Google services (for example, Google Play services, AdMob, or Google Play Console diagnostics) and is used to improve stability, performance, and user experience.
We do not use this data to personally identify you.
The free version of PicSwipe displays ads using Google AdMob.
AdMob may collect and process data such as:
Advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID)
Device information and approximate location
App usage related to ad impressions and clicks
This data is handled according to Google’s own privacy policies and may be used to provide personalized or non-personalized ads, depending on your preferences and your region’s consent requirements.
For more information on how Google uses data, please see Google’s Privacy Policy:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
You can control ad personalization in your Google account settings or your device’s advertising settings.
PicSwipe offers optional Premium features that can be purchased through Google Play Billing.
All payment processing is handled by Google Play.
We do not receive or store your full payment information (such as credit card numbers).
Google may share limited transaction information with us (for example, that a purchase was completed) so that we can unlock Premium features in the App.
For more information about how Google handles payments, please refer to Google’s privacy policy.
We may use the information we receive for the following purposes:
To provide and operate the App and its features.
To maintain and improve performance, stability, and user experience.
To display ads (for free users) through AdMob.
To enable Google Sign-In and show your account inside the App (if you choose to sign in).
To enable and verify in-app purchases (Premium) via Google Play Billing.
To monitor for abuse, fraud, or misuse of the App.
To comply with legal obligations if required by applicable law.
We do not sell your Personal Data to third parties.
We do not operate our own backend servers for PicSwipe and do not maintain a separate user database for this App.
Any personal data obtained through Google Sign-In is used in real time in the app interface and is not stored longer than necessary on our side.
Usage and diagnostics data may be retained by Google or other Service Providers for as long as they need it for analytics, advertising, or legal obligations. Please refer to their privacy policies for details.
Media files (photos and videos) remain on your own device until you delete them. When you choose to delete photos using PicSwipe, the App sends a deletion request to the Android system, which then removes the selected items according to system rules.
Because we rely on Google and other global Service Providers, your data may be processed on servers located in different countries.
By using the App, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, where data protection laws may differ.
We rely on these Service Providers to implement appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information within the scope of our App. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights under data protection laws (for example, GDPR in the EU/EEA or CCPA/CPRA in California), such as:
The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
The right to request correction or deletion of your personal data where applicable.
The right to object to or restrict certain types of processing.
The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (for example, personalized advertising).
To exercise these rights, you can contact us using the email address below. Since most data used by PicSwipe is processed via Google services, we may ask you to also contact Google or manage your preferences in your Google account or device settings.
You can also:
Disable ad personalization in your device settings.
Revoke storage permissions for photos and media in your device settings.
Uninstall the App, which stops all data collection by PicSwipe on your device.
PicSwipe is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
The App may display or link to content provided by third parties (for example, ads or links to external websites).
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. The new policy will become effective when it is posted.
We recommend that you review this Privacy Policy periodically.
