The App stores the following practice session information locally on your device:
Practice mode (metronome, backing tracks, exercises, arpeggio, scales, chord transitions)
Session metadata (BPM, duration in seconds, timestamp)
Session count (up to 100 most recent sessions are retained)
The App stores your preferences locally on your device, including:
Metronome settings (BPM, subdivision, time signature, accent preferences, lead-in beats)
Backing track configurations (chord progressions, drum/bass/piano/keyboard settings)
Chord transition settings (chord pairs, timing preferences)
Exercise preferences (difficulty filters, BPM ranges)
UI preferences (theme selection: warm-studio, modern-mono, or vintage-console)
Audio settings (reverb amount, volume levels, low-power mode)
Haptics and notifications (enabled/disabled state)
All audio synthesis, processing, and playback occurs locally on your device
The App uses the Web Audio API for real-time audio generation and effects
No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted
No microphone access is used or required
The App requests the following permissions:
Screen Brightness Control (via Capacitor KeepAwake plugin): Prevents device sleep during practice sessions
Audio Playback: Standard audio output for metronome clicks and backing tracks
We use the information you provide to:
Deliver core practicing features (metronome, backing tracks, exercises, etc.)
Provide real-time audio feedback and visual guidance
Track your practice history and total practice time
Save your preferences for the next session
Measure session duration and practice consistency
Display practice statistics on the home screen
All data is stored locally on your device only.
Data is persisted using:
Capacitor Preferences API (secure, platform-native storage)
Web Storage (localStorage, for debug flags only)
Your data is:

✅ Never shared with third parties
✅ Never used for analytics or tracking
✅ Only accessible by the PickQuest App itself
You have full control over your data:
Clear all data: Uninstall the App or use platform-specific app storage management
Export data: No built-in export, but data is stored in standard formats (JSON) accessible via platform debugging tools
Stop recording sessions: Simply do not use the practice features; future sessions will not be recorded
Delete individual sessions: (If implemented in app; currently all-or-nothing deletion)
The App does not integrate with:
❌ Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)
❌ Crash reporting (Sentry, Crashlytics, etc.)
❌ Advertising networks
❌ Social media platforms
❌ Cloud backup services (data stays on device unless managed by your OS)
Your iOS or Android device may collect diagnostics independently under Apple or Google's privacy policies. PickQuest does not control this.
Practice sessions: Retained for the lifetime of the App installation (max 100 most recent sessions)
Settings and preferences: Retained until cleared by user action
Backup-related data: Depends on your device backup settings (device backup may include app data)
The App is not directed to children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided data through the App, we aim to delete such data or obtain parental consent. Please contact us if you have concerns.
We implement reasonable security measures for locally stored data:
Data is stored using the operating system's secure storage APIs
No data is transmitted over networks (except device OS auto-backup, if enabled)
No passwords, payment information, or sensitive personal data is collected
However, no storage method is 100% secure.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
Access your data (available locally on your device)
Delete your data (by uninstalling or clearing app data)
Opt out of practice tracking (by not using the App)
Understand how your data is used (this policy)
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or applicable law. We will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
