COVID-19 REHABILITATION-A CARDIOPULMONARY PERSPECTIVE

Covid -19 pandemic has been a challenge globally in various health sectors. We as Physiotherapists were able to unleash our potential to maximize in all aspects throughout the pandemic and till date. Having a role to play in all stages from mild to moderate to severe and also post covid sequalae. This involves identifying the potential cardiovascular and pulmonary complications, assessment of those dysfunctions and executing treatment strategies, following up with the outcomes starting from the critical care to the recovery period and follow up. All strategies employed were evidence based and in accordance with the International guidelines. There were lot of complications across the different age groups seen during the post covid recovery phase and which included cardiopulmonary and neuromuscular manifestations. They underwent post covid rehab which was patient - centric based on the problems faced by them.
