Abstract
Introduction
Recent ultrasonographic study have revealed hypertrophied abductor hallucis and atrophied adductor hallucis in individuals with flat foot signifying altered foot intrinsic muscles function. Investigating the strength ratio of these muscle in individuals with flat foot and comparing with those with neutral arched foot may guide the relative strengthening of the intrinsic muscles.
Objective
To compare the Abductor Hallucis and Adductor Hallucis strength ratio among young females with flat foot and neutral foot.
Methodology
Young female between age 18-25 years with flat foot and neutral foot will be recruited - twenty in each group, using purposive sampling technique. Strength of Abductor Hallucis and Adductor Hallucis will be evaluated using pinch dynamometer and the ratio of strength will be calculated. Mann-Whitney U test will be used to compare the strength ratio between the groups using SPSSv26.0
Result and Conclusion
Will be demonstrated once the data collection is complete and statistical analysis is done.
