Methodology
Study Design: Quasi Experimental study, Study Type: Pre and post type, Study Setting:
Sapthagiri hospital, Sample Method: Convenient sampling, Sample Size: 50 subjects
RESULTS: Both the groups showed significant improvement in VAS, Oswestry Disability
Index after intervention (p<.05).
Conclusion
Our study has demonstrated that Maitland mobilization is more effective in managing
Mechanical low back pain and function of the lumbar spine, among subjects with chronic
Mechanical low back pain. However, prospective studies are required to observe long term
effects, with follow ups to establish the effect of Maitland mobilization in subjects with
chronic Mechanical low back pain.
