POST COVID HYBRID LEARNING-ITS IMPACT ON STUDENTS-a review of literature

OBJECTIVES-
The Covid-19 pandemic has challenged and have an impact on the education system and
students across the world.The epidemic begin with an emergency with the complete
shutdown of all institution, Quarantine was the major part of it, due to significant outbreak of
Covid-19 many cities revolved into phantom cities which have differential outcome in all
institutions. In order to flatten the infection curve lockdown and social distancing was held
and the learning was shifted into online. 90% of the learners underwent with the critical
salvation but the online mode was an emergency decision by the institution to minimize the
spread of disease. Later development in the online-learning helped in better understanding of
the education and is was everyones requirement,even all accepted their transformation into
advanced technology instead of waiting for normalcy.
This review of literatureis done to understand how the new-learning approach could have
impacted students during testing times.
METHODS-
An extensive-literature search was done from 2020-2022 using databases- Pubmed, Google
scholar, and science direct. Articles in English language with E-learning, “covid-
19”,Pandemic, Hybrid-learning, and Post covid-19 as keywords were included.
CONCLUSION-
Online education is highly influenced by factors such as age, gender,learning-pattern, and
knowledge about the technology. It has been found to decrease face-face interaction, lack of
co-curricular activities, dissatisfaction with exposure to the health care, decline in mental
wellbeing and it has lead to the symptoms with headache, dry-eyes and backpain.However, it
has benefited students with flexibility, ease of time,along with increased opportunities in
virtual collaboration and helps to develop the technical skills.
