There will be in-class discussions based on assigned journal papers and a final project .

The final letter grades will be determined according to the distribution of cumulative grades.

Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, cgs and SI units, Diamagnets, Paramagnets, Ferromagnets, FerriMagnets, Antiferromagnets, Quantum Magnetism, Magnetic Domains, Magnetic Anisotropy, Magnetization-Demagnetization, Magnetostriction, Magnetic Data Storage, Advanced topics in spintronics ( spin torque, ferromagnetic resonance, exchange bias etc...)
