Hi, my name is Austin Price and I am a sophomore at Pomona High School. Being a sophomore, this is my second year in journalism and I am currently a staff writer but I look forward to many years to come participating in journalism and hope to one day be the editor-in-chief. Out of all the stories I have written this year, my favorite one would probably be "Superstitions and How they Affect Us" simply because the mental thinking and aspect behind it is so interesting. I have written multiple short stories and many works of poetry and in the year of 2016-2017, I completed the task of writing a 30,000 word novel for the National Novel Writing Month challenge in November and wrote a 15,000 word piece done this year for the 2017-2018 challenge. When I am not reading or writing, I love to dance and I am a Studio Company Member of the Colorado Conservatory of Dance. I also love to sing, listen to Broadway musicals, spend hours upon hours at Barnes and Noble, and play with my five beloved ferrets. In the future, I hope to become an elementary school teacher because my love of children and understanding their young minds compared to our. I plan on going to Metro College right here in Denver, Colorado.
Superstitions are things that none of us can avoid but the mental thinking and aspect behind them is very powerful and can become influential.
I have loved the comics since I was little and it's all thanks to my dad who reads them religiously.
