WWTBAM

WWTBAM:

Your School Code is: VH1F-T6WF

Your Class Name is: WWTBAM_2018_4270

The first round starts on September 10 at 9:00 a.m. US Eastern Time and closes on September 26 at 5:00 p.m. US Eastern Time.

The process of taking part has been greatly simplified this year, and is outlined below:

  1. Set aside 30 minutes when your students will be in one room with access to computers connected to the Internet.
  2. If you have lots of students, then you might need to arrange more than one 30-minute session, but please stress to students that they should not discuss the test with classmates until all students have completed it.
  3. When the test session starts, students must first register at https://wwtbam.mobius.net/student/ - this process begins by every student entering your school code, given at the top of this letter. Registration takes 2 minutes, and students should note down their password and email address used, as they will need them again if they get to Round 2.
  4. After registering, students will log in at https://wwtbam.mapleta.com/wwtbam/login and proceed to your class. At this stage, you must authorize your students to begin the test (see instructions below).
  5. Once authorized, students will follow the hyperlink to the test and be taken to the pre-test page, which will explain the test. The Round One test is a ten-question multiple choice test with a time limit of 15 minutes. There are no negative marks for wrong answers. No books, calculators, or any electronic help are allowed. You might also want to explain this to the students prior to the test, so that they are not surprised.
  6. This pre-test page will end with a button marked Start, at which point the timer and test begin. Students can either begin the test when they are ready, or you might prefer all your students to hit the Start button at the same time.
  7. The test ends either when the timer runs out or the students hits the Submit Assignment button.
  8. The students will immediately see their results. Students who score 7 or more (out of 10) qualify for Round 2.
