It never crossed my mind that the day would come when I would sit in a quiet house and open our photo albums, pulling out the pictures of a family with two small children, who grew up without letting us know they were going to do it, and staring into their faces in hopes of stirring up long-forgotten memories.

The day will come when our children will be the ones who want to pull out the photo albums. They will stare at the pictures we took, searching for the people they used to be. They will long for a glance at the parents of their childhood.

Apply a generous layer of Modge Podge to cover a side of the block. Then position the photo in the center of the side. Use your paint brush to apply another generous layer of Modge Podge right over the top. Like I said, unleash your inner 3 year old!

When your photo transfer is completely dry, apply a clear sealer to the image. This will seal and brighten your image. I used Mod Podge for my sealer, but I typically prefer a clear acrylic spray. Apply more coats, as needed.

There are lots of options for what to wear for your maternity photos, and as a maternity photographer, what I want is for you to look amazing. What you would wear in normal day-to-day life may not necessarily look the best for photos so keep reading for my recommendations. Bringing another outfit to your maternity session is a great idea and gives you some variety. I can bring my changing tent so changing on location is quick and easy. Sometimes the extra outfit is just a lacy cardigan over underwear so we can really emphasize your beautiful belly. Or maybe you want some casual photos in your overalls or a crop top with jeans. Possibly you just want two different dresses. Whatever your style is, just let me know ahead of time so we can decide when the best time to wear it is, at the beginning, or at the end of the session.
