Who are you in the Body of Christ? What is your “Purpose?” What is your “Role?” In the Body of Christ, I am Phoebe. I am mentioned in Romans 16.1. My purpose is to “Serve” as “One Who Helps.”
My assignment from God is not only to “Serve as a Helper” but also to Build Him an Army of Helpers. I ask you again, who are you in the Body of Christ? What is your Purpose? What is your Role? Read the Character Section of this website to see if you are mentioned in the Bible. See if, perhaps, you will connect with a purpose through one of the Characters. If so, pray and ask God if it is His Will for you to suit up and join this Army of Helpers.

Several years ago, during my 45 minutes drive to work, God introduced me to a strategy to help control my wandering mind. A wandering mind is usually full of anxious thoughts. He instructed me to pay attention to automobiles as they pass me or came into my view. Then he said, “Every time you see a “FOCUS” automobile, make a positive acronym about Jesus using the letters F -O -C-U-S.”

This is in Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Another scripture for reference is Psalms 27:1 – The LORD is my light and my salvation: whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

This is in 2Timothy 3:16 – All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for corrections, for instruction in righteousness: 17. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Another scripture for reference is 2 Peter 1:20-21 – Knowing this, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
I found this strategy to be challenging but rewarding. This strategy prompted me to think about the goodness of God rather than whatever was occurring in my life. In Isaiah 26:3 it is written – Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee.
Let us purpose in this New Year,2023, to keep our FOCUS on Christ. If our FOCUS is on Christ, then we will walk accordingly.
