About Me

My name is Phoebe Olivia Pope

I am currently a performing arts student at Gloucestershire College

I have been performing all my life and it's something I'm very passionate about.

I started very young by doing ballet and by the age of 8 or 9 I was in street dance classes, my love for acting started in primary school where I was in a Shakespeare Festival and end-of-year plays such as 'The Wizard Of OZ' and 'Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat'. During my last year of primary school, I started at a drama academy called Helen 'O'Grady, and I was there for three years. I learned a lot of experience with performing as in the summer we did a show each year. Then when I was in Year 8 during secondary school I decided to quit Helen 'O'Grady to focus on drama in school. I chose to do Drama and music for GCSE which again gave me a lot of experience and confidence in performing. Upon starting college, I wasn't confident in dance until I learned dance routines such as street and contemporary in my first year and I quickly became one of the most confident dancers in my year. My confidence really began to build when my dance teacher asked me to lead the street routine and even when we did the routine in partners and solo. My main focus for my future is to become a choreographer/dance teacher, since I'm going to University in September, I'm excited because I want to be able to leave Uni with the qualifications I need to become a choreographer or dance teacher.
