What does "all-inclusive" mean?

We used the term all-inclusive in our group description because we do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, nationality, political views, or teaching style. In fact, we welcome diversity in hopes that our group has a broad appeal. We all have homeschooling in common; that is our focus and is what brings us together. Our goal is to have a cohesive and safe group that offers fun, friendship and learning opportunities for our homeschooled kids, as well us parents.

Is there a membership fee?

No, there is no fee to join PHLiC. Fees associated with planned group activities are collected by the person coordinating the activity.

How does the group work?

PHLiC's main place to "connect" online is via our Facebook group. Here you will see discussions and events, as well as, files to help you get started getting involved. We also keep an updated Google calendar of group events, and we have a back-up email list on Google groups for occasional "parent only" discussions, or moderator updates and news. Lastly, we use Google Drive to share some files, create RSVP spreadsheets, when needed, and share information. All this info is available in the "new member info" doc in the files section of the Facebook group, so check it out when you sign up!

What if I want to plan an activity, but don't know where to start?

Just post your thoughts on the Facebook group. Veteran members will be happy to brainstorm with you and walk you through the process of planning an activity. There is also a file in the files section to help you get started!
