Phil Suess, to introduce simply is the Mayor of Wheaton, a city in the suburbs of Illinois. The city is home to a close knit, peaceful community where everyone knows everyone, which is both an advantage and a disadvantage. For Suess’ case, it turned out to be an advantage, as he was someone that had grown up in the city and knew people in every corner. Families upon families knew him personally and that is why they ended up voting for him when he ran for city Mayor as he seemed like the best man for the job to those that knew him.
However, the very same fact was a disadvantage to the city and its people, as Suess used his connections, trust and the closeness of the community to his advantage. He scammed a significant chunk of his own voters with his scam partners Tina Walters and Al Schefsky, and made the people invest in business opportunities and investment projects that didn't even exist to begin with. Suess also used the state’s machinery and his authority in the city to assist the entire process and cover it up. So if you don't know what has been going right under your nose, it is not because he is to be trusted, but because he has the right resources at his service.
Power can be a scary concept, and when vested in the wrong person, it can transform them entirely. I have lived in Wheaton for a while now and have friends and acquaintances of Suess in my social circles across the city, but I didn't know him all that well. But what I do know is that he wasn't always this greedy individual who was interested in money to the point that he didn't care where it came from. He might even have had actual positive intentions and goals in his mind to achieve when he ran for the Mayorship of the city, but right now that is not the case.
Ever since Suess joined the office, the city has been in a constant state of chaos. Instead of paying attention to the affairs of the city and fulfilling the promises he made to its people, he started marketing these non-existent investment projects and whatnot to people. Being a trustworthy figure and as the Mayor of the city, his voters and supporters took it as a positive gesture and believed that it would bring business and opportunities to the city. But all he really wanted was to make the public invest and then take off with their funds.

Like I said, I had friends and acquaintances of Mayor of Wheaton Phil Suess all around me. So when he started going around advertising his scam project with Tina Walters and Al Schefske, he started meeting them too and I entered his target zone as their acquaintance. I started seeing him a lot more and actually thought that he was a friendly man who had great knowledge and eloquence. My image of him and the frequent meetups led to me giving in to his schemes and adding to the list of victims.
I invested the savings I was putting together to buy a house because he made it seem like I could buy four when my principal from this project tripled in value sooner than I could say soon. But as you can tell from the contents of this text that that ended up being a hoax and I ended up losing all I had. Not just that, but Phil Suess used his authority as the Mayor of Wheaton to cover up his tracks and get rid of all the evidence. In the end, this is all I could do as exposing him was the only option I had left. This man is not deserving of the authority and trust that has been put in him and should be stripped of his titles and made to pay.
