Project Design of Micro-control System | A Vending Machine

Supervised by Prof. Yanhui Chen at Xidian University.

• Group Leader (7 students in total).

• Designed a vending machine based on ARM® Cortex® MCU TM4C1294.

• Organized more than ten plenary meetings to discuss the plan, check the progress of each part and arrange the joint debugging of each module

• Achieved the highest score in the class.

Snacks are little cubes. Cubes have different colors representing different snacks.

We got two color sensors and four infrared sensors to dectect the color and position of snacks!

User IDs are encoded by 4 notches on cards, which are detected by these switches.

Install a sideway and a motor.

Not perfect now. Still need to tune.

We put some vivid yummy cakes on the top, though they are made of plastics.

It scans all positions to see how many are left. Then we let it push over everything.

It is searching the snack our user asked, then pushes it out.

At the exit, there is a distance sensor. We do not offer you anything if you leave.
