In his personal life, Garland is a dedicated husband and father. He has been married since 2002 and has two sons and a stepson he has raised from a young age. His commitment to mentorship is evident in his extensive volunteer work as a youth lacrosse coach for eight years, where he taught sportsmanship and life lessons, culminating in a unique motivational challenge that rewarded his players for their perseverance and integrity.
Garland’s role in the Boy Scouts has been equally impactful. He served in various leadership capacities, including as a Cub Scout leader and an Assistant Boy Scout Leader. His supportive nature extended to his nephew, whom he guided through re-enrollment in school and helped pave a path to a successful career and family life.
