More than 80 Master's degree Programs in Belgian Universities are available with scholarship
Father Ferdinand Santos rose to internet fame when photos of his youthful looks and athletic build went viral, earning him the affectionate label of the “handsome priest.” Yet beyond the buzz lies a devoted pastor and scholar whose journey spans continents—from Manila to Belgium and back again.
While serving as rector of St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami, Fr. Ferdinand took time to deepen his academic roots at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium. There he pursued advanced studies in philosophy, immersing himself in process metaphysics under the guidance of Prof. Jan van der Veken. He completed his doctorate degree in 1998. His time in Leuven sharpened both his intellectual rigor and his pastoral vision.
Fr. Ferdinand returned to the Philippines with a renewed commitment to serve underserved communities. He left behind a prestigious U.S. appointment to minister in depressed parishes, believing that every faithful deserves compassionate guidance close to home.
Today, the “viral priest” balances parish duties with guest lectures in philosophy and theology. His online popularity has opened new doors for evangelization, drawing young people into conversations about faith, purpose, and service.
