Hello! I am a Ph.D. student in Chemistry at Arizona State University. I am from El Paso, Texas and have a bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Chemistry with a concentration in Research from Stephen F. Austin State University, Texas.
During my undergraduate studies, I worked on analytical analysis of East Texas waterfowl and landfowl eggshells using a variety of instrumental techniques to determine the presence of heavy metals and carbonates. I also worked in agricultural chemistry for soil, plant, and water analysis. These experiences have guided my research interests to analytical environmental chemistry. Now I am working on the analytical analysis and metal extraction methods of Arizona mine tailings.
Fun Fact! I love animals and currently have two dogs that I consider to be my children. Both are corgi mixes and their names are Bea and Miku.
