Aidan McClure

Chemistry PhD Student (2023-to date), Undergraduate Degree from ASU in Chemistry (Environmental, 2019-2023)

I am from Gilbert, Arizona and have been here my whole life. My hobbies include rock climbing, hiking, any sort of (competitive) game, listening to music / going to concerts, and making (bad) art. 

I've always loved nature and have gardened and hiked my whole life. Just like how humans should stop leaving trash in the environment and do their part to pick it up, I think we have a duty to do the same for the countless amount of chemicals we emit, especially those that are analogous to invasive species that have no "predators" to remove them naturally. 

These feelings led me to do Environmental Chemistry research starting in 2021 with Dr. Herckes and Dr. Fraser, where I am excited to now do my PhD and continue looking after the environment.
