I am currently Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Sciences, Lucian Blaga University and Postdoctoral fellow at the Nanobiophotonics and Laser Microscopy Centre, Interdisciplinary Research Institute in Bio-Nano-Sciences , Babeș-Bolyai University , Cluj-Napoca, Romania. My major research interests focus on the development of innovative and versatile plasmon-based sensor designs able to operate with high efficiency and sensitivity in detection applications in the fields of (bio)medicine, food safety and environmental monitoring. As a secondary research direction, I am interested in the development of hybrid therapeutic nano-agents for alternative cancer treatments such as Photothermal and Photodynamic Therapy.
