An archive dedicated to documenting Phantom Singer and providing English translations
Phantom Singer is a South Korean competition show created by JTBC to form professional male crossover vocal quartets. Rather than focusing on a single musical genre, the show focuses on crossover music, a style that blends influences from classical music, opera, musical theatre, pop, rock, folk, traditional music, jazz, and many other genres!
Unlike most idol survival shows, where contestants compete to stand out individually, Phantom Singer is built around the idea of harmony. Success depends not only on vocal ability, but on how well singers complement one another, creating a balanced and expressive ensemble of four.
The competition follows a structured format in which contestants perform both individually and in groups before eventually forming quartets. Throughout the show, they are evaluated by a panel of highly respected professionals (including renowned opera singers, musical actors, conductors, composers, producers, and instrumentalists)

We're a small team of two fans who love Phantom Singer and wanted to help make it more accessible for other international fans.
We're not professional translators, nor are we fluent in Korean. Every translation is researched carefully using dictionaries, reference materials, and translation tools, and we spend a lot of time checking context and terminology to make each subtitle as accurate and natural as we can (but of course, there may still be mistakes)
Because of this, the process is slow and translating a single episode can take anywhere from several days to a couple weeks or even months. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the archive! Oh and if you notice any mistakes, awkward wording, or missing information, please let us know through the form in the next page! We welcome corrections and feedback, and we're always looking to improve the archive and our translations~
