Nairobi, Kenya. March 1-4, 2017

As part of the trip, PGL has organised a visit to a unique school in Nairobi. Participants will make a visit to Grapesyard, a school located in Korogocho Slum to observe classes and to interact with the children. Participants will also be encouraged to teach a class.

In addition, participants will observe the computer laboratory which participants from last years PGL conference in Nairobi founded with donated laptop computers for the children to encourage digital literacy. The computers are connected to an internal network that accesses digital textbooks through a Raspberry Pi acting as a centralized server.

While in Nairobi, participants will also take part in a Safari and visit the Management University of Africa where there will be opportunities to meet students and staff to discuss research professional development opportunities.
