If the weather-stripping isn’t sufficient you can use both weather stripping and calk to fill up the holes. For more protection, you may also want to spray pesticides in your yard. Spraying near around ashbins will kill the cockroaches before they even get into your home.

The inside of your home is even as important. If you have a lot of junk and clutter, like piles of newspapers, magazines, or books, you’re creating a perfect environment for your unwished house guests. If you do not know where the cockroaches when you turn on the lights at nighttime, you should try placing some glue traps, so the cockroaches will be stuck on their way in or out of their hideouts.
