About me

My name is Peter Shirley and I graduated from the University of California-Irvine with my Ph.D. in Economics in June 2018. My research primarily focuses on estimating the labor market effects of policies targeted towards low-skilled or low-income individuals, including minimum wages and the Earned Income Tax Credit. I am also interested in anti-poverty policies more generally, as well as education or health policies which, while not directly anti-poverty in nature, have important implications for low-income households and families.
