Did you know that Pulau Ubin was once home to a vibrant community—with its own market, clinic, schools, community centre, places of worship, wayang stage, and cemeteries? Today, it remains Singapore’s last kampong where residents continue a traditional way of life, including using well water.
Join us on a guided heritage walk to uncover these stories and landscapes. Journey through the Village Centre, step into the restored Teck Seng’s Place to learn about vernacular kampong architecture, and visit a former quarry to understand its role in Singapore’s nation-building.
What to Expect:
✅ A guided walk through the Village Centre, bringing past stories to life
✅ A visit to Teck Seng’s Place and insights into traditional kampong houses
✅ A stop at a quarry to explore Ubin’s industrial heritage

Guided by: Architecture professor and architecture students
