Reconnect with Nature – and Yourself
Step away from the noise of the city and into the healing embrace of the forest. Join us for a slow, sensory nature walk among the rustling trees and serene trails of Pulau Ubin – one of Singapore’s last kampong islands.
A tranquil island known for its lush greenery and untouched natural beauty, the island is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including the many gentle giants we are going to meet in this walk.
This is not your typical nature hike.
Guided by a certified forest therapy practitioner, you will be invited to slow down, open your senses, and reconnect with the living world around you. Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), this experience helps reduce stress, restore calm, and bring quiet joy back into your day.
What is Forest Bathing?
“Forest Bathing”, or “immersing oneself in a forest atmosphere” is a slow and intentional practise of being with the forest or green space. Not just walking through it, but being present in the natural environment, engaging in a series of relaxation and nature connection activities. The ME moment observing in silence and quieting our thoughts.
The experience aims to connect us with nature through our 5 senses, enhancing our sense of well-being, relieving stress, encouraging relaxation and can help stimulate creativity. At the end of the session, we will be sharing tea.
What to Expect:
• A gentle 2 – 2.5-hour walk covering approx. 1–2 km on unpaved trails
• Guided sensory invitations (listening, touching, noticing, breathing with the trees)
• Moments of mindful silence and nature connection
• Simple sharing circle (optional) to reflect on your experience
Whether you’re a nature lover or simply in need of a peaceful pause, this session welcomes all – no prior experience needed.
