PesoQuest — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

PesoQuest ("we", "our", or "the App") is a personal finance management tool that helps you build healthier spending habits through a gamified RPG experience. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

The core principle of PesoQuest is simple: your financial data stays on your device. PesoQuest works fully offline, does not require an account, and does not upload your records to any server.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide (stored only on your device)

• The financial records you manually enter (amounts, categories, notes, dates)

• Your budget settings and preferences

• Game progress (character level, XP, HP, badges, quiz scores, streaks)

• An optional avatar photo, if you choose to set one

2.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect or require a name, email, or phone number

• We do not collect bank account details, card numbers, or government IDs

• We do not collect biometric data, contacts, location, or SMS content

• We do not operate any server that receives your data

Notes:

• Choosing an avatar from your library uses the system photo picker, which requires no photo-library permission.

• Declining any permission does not block the core features of the App.

• The App does not request SMS, location, contacts, or microphone access.

5. Data Storage and Security

• All records, settings, and game progress are stored locally on your device within the App's private, sandboxed storage (a local database and local preferences).

• Data is protected by iOS app sandboxing and the device-level protections provided by Apple (such as device passcode / Data Protection).

• Nothing is transmitted to us or to any third party.

6. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party. Because your data never leaves your device, there is nothing for us to share.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You are always in control of your data:

• Export your data in CSV or JSON format at any time (Settings → Export Data)

• Erase all data permanently from within the App (Settings → Clear All Data)

• Remove everything by uninstalling the App, which deletes all locally stored data

8. Children's Privacy

PesoQuest is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App stores data only on the device and collects no personal identifiers, no personal information is transmitted to us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date above and made available within the App (Me → Privacy Policy). Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
