If you want a durable, waterproof headband with a longer battery life and the ability to function as a sleep mask for active users, choose Perytong Sleep Headphones; if you need a soft, moisture-wicking fabric that is machine washable and specifically engineered for side sleepers who prioritize zero pressure on their ears, choose Navly Sleep Headphones.
This isn't just about picking a pair of headphones; it is about finding a solution that fits your specific sleeping habits and lifestyle needs. Both products offer wireless audio without the annoyance of bulky earbuds digging into your ears, but they approach the problem from different angles. One leans heavily into rugged durability and extended playtime, while the other focuses entirely on textile comfort and breathability. Understanding these fundamental differences is the only way to make the right call for your nightly routine or travel plans.
• Perytong Sleep Headphones: Its biggest strength is its rugged, fully waterproof construction with a massive 12+ hour battery life, making it ideal for heavy use and workouts. Its trade-off is the spandex material which may not feel as breathable as premium fabrics for those who run hot at night.
• Navly Sleep Headphones: Its standout feature is the skin-friendly, moisture-wicking fabric designed to eliminate all pressure points for side sleepers, offering true 3-in-1 versatility as a mask and headband. The trade-off is a slightly shorter battery life of 10 hours compared to the Perytong.
• Who is Perytong for?: Best for travelers, runners, and anyone who sweats easily or needs a device that can withstand rain and rigorous activity.
• Who is Navly for?: Best for light sleepers, side sleepers who hate pressure on their ears, and those looking for a gentle, breathable option for long-haul flights or quiet meditation.
The Perytong model stands out immediately because of its focus on resilience. If you are someone who tosses and turns, exercises before bed, or travels in unpredictable climates, this device is built to handle the chaos. This isn't just marketing fluff; it means the internal electronics are protected against sweat and rain, a critical feature if you plan to wear this during a workout session or if you live in a humid environment. You don't have to worry about moisture ruining the drivers or the Bluetooth module failing after a sweaty night.
Another defining characteristic is the battery performance. With a 200mAh high-performance battery, this headband offers over 12 hours of continuous playback after just one to two hours of charging via Type-C. That extra two hours of runtime compared to many competitors matters significantly when you are trying to get through a long overnight shift or a red-eye flight where recharging isn't an option. The inclusion of 40 mm composite drivers ensures that you get true HD high-fidelity sound, allowing you to enjoy audiobooks or music without feeling like you are missing the depth of traditional speakers.

However, this durability comes with a specific material choice. The enclosure is made of spandex, which provides a snug fit but may not offer the same level of breathability as a dedicated cotton blend. While the product is described as versatile for yoga and running, some users who prefer a softer, more luxurious touch against their skin might find the spandex less comfortable for all-night wear compared to other options. Additionally, the design includes a removable Bluetooth module, which adds convenience for cleaning but requires you to detach a component before washing the fabric portion. This product is clearly targeted at the "active" sleeper or the user who treats their gear as a tool first and a comfort item second.
On the other end of the spectrum lies the Navly Sleep Headphones, a device that prioritizes the tactile experience of sleep above all else. If you are a side sleeper, you know the pain of having anything press against your ear. Navly addresses this directly with its ergonomic design featuring thin speakers that sit inside soft fabric pockets. These speakers are only 4mm thin, meaning you can lie directly on your side without feeling any pressure or discomfort. This makes it an exceptional choice for those who cannot sleep unless they are lying flat against a pillow, a common struggle for people using standard earbuds or thick headbands.
The fabric itself is a major selling point here. Crafted from a premium blend of soft, breathable material, it utilizes advanced moisture-wicking technology to pull sweat away from the skin. This is crucial for maintaining comfort throughout the night, especially for those who tend to wake up warm or damp. Unlike the Perytong, which uses a waterproof shell, the Navly relies on the properties of the fabric to manage moisture, offering a more natural, airy feel. The headband is also machine washable (after removing the electronic module), which speaks to its integration into daily hygiene routines. It feels less like a piece of tech and more like a high-quality sleep accessory.
Furthermore, the Navly combines three functions into one smart device: a sleep mask, wireless headphones, and a comfortable headband. This 3-in-1 approach is particularly appealing for travelers or office nappers who want to block out light and noise simultaneously. The rear flat-panel control unit lies completely flat, eliminating any awkward lumps that could disturb your neck or the back of your head. While the battery life is rated at 10 hours—which is still sufficient for most nights—it is slightly lower than the Perytong. However, for a user whose primary concern is the physical sensation of wearing the device, this slight reduction in runtime is a negligible trade-off for the superior comfort and breathability provided by the fabric construction.
• Best for Battery Life: Perytong Sleep Headphones wins with 12+ hours of playback versus the 10 hours offered by Navly.
• Best for Water Resistance: Perytong takes the lead with its fully waterproof casing, whereas Navly relies on moisture-wicking fabric.
• Best for Side Sleepers: Navly Sleep Headphones is superior due to its ultra-thin 4mm speakers and flat-panel design that eliminates ear pressure.
• Best for Active Use/Workouts: Perytong is the clear choice given its sweat-proof, submarine-style protection for intense physical activity.
• Best for Breathability: Navly edges out with its skin-friendly, quick-dry fabric blend designed to keep you cool.
• Best for Cleaning Convenience: Both allow for washing the fabric, but Perytong's design specifically mentions removing the module for easy maintenance.
• Best for Travel Comfort: Navly offers a more seamless 3-in-1 experience as a mask and headband, ideal for blocking light and noise.
• Best for Connectivity Range: Navly lists a range of up to 50 feet (15 meters), while Perytong specifies 45 feet; both are excellent for room-to-room movement.
After weighing the specs and considering how real people actually sleep, I would buy the Navly Sleep Headphones for my own personal use. The primary reason is the comfort factor; no matter how good the battery life or waterproofing is, if you can't fall asleep because something is pressing on your ear, the device fails its main purpose. The Navly's focus on being gentle against the skin and eliminating pressure points makes it the better choice for a nightly routine. However, if you were buying a multipoint headphone solution for children who might be rougher with their gear or prone to heavy sweating during summer activities, I would recommend the Perytong Sleep Headphones instead. Its rugged build and extended battery life make it a more durable companion for younger, more active users who need a device that can take a beating.
Both brands list age ranges including teens and boys/girls, making them viable options for children. The Perytong is often highlighted as a unique gift for kids, while the Navly's soft fabric is also suitable for younger users seeking comfort.
The Perytong offers a longer continuous play time of over 12 hours, while the Navly provides approximately 10 hours of playback after a 2-hour charge. Both require similar charging times.
Yes, both products feature removable electronic modules, allowing you to machine wash the fabric headband separately. You must remove the speakers or Bluetooth unit before washing either device.
Both devices include controls for answering/rejecting calls and adjusting volume. The Perytong mentions app control, while the Navly features intuitive side buttons for direct management of audio and calls.
