If you want a dedicated device for lying down to listen to TV or audiobooks without ear pain, choose Perytong Sleep Headphones; if you need a stylish, open-ear accessory that stays secure while wearing glasses and offers all-day wearability, choose Domary Earbuds Headphones Open.
• Perytong Sleep Headphones: The standout strength is its ultra-thin, flat speaker design specifically engineered for side sleepers who need total comfort against a pillow, with a trade-off being the bulkier headband form factor that feels less like traditional jewelry. This pick is for anyone prioritizing deep sleep, insomnia relief, or sleeping through partner snoring.
• Domary Earbuds Headphones Open: The key advantage is its lightweight 4.5g build and detachable earring style that transforms audio into fashion, though it lacks the specific padding needed for face-down sleeping positions. This pick is ideal for active users, those who wear glasses daily, or people seeking an airy sound experience during the day.
The Perytong Sleep Headphones are built around a single, non-negotiable goal: comfort while your head rests on a pillow. The design philosophy here abandons the standard in-ear plug entirely in favor of two thin, flat speakers encased in soft felt. This creates a profile so low-profile that you can lie on your side without the painful pressure points that usually come from standard wireless earbuds or hard plastic headphones. If you have ever woken up with sore ears after trying to nap with audio gear, this design solves that specific problem by distributing the weight across the forehead rather than pressing into the ear canal.
For the person who struggles with insomnia or shares a bed with a snorer, this headband is a practical solution. The stretchable spandex fabric ensures a snug fit for almost any head shape, from men to teenagers, without feeling tight or restrictive. The material is breathable and sweat-absorbent, which means you aren't stuck with a hot band of fabric if you toss and turn. It effectively isolates the sound so you can enjoy music, podcasts, or TV videos without disturbing a partner, while the automatic shut-off feature prevents the annoyance of beeping sounds when the battery finally dies in the middle of the night.
You should skip this product if you are looking for something to wear as a fashion statement or if you need a device that doubles as a high-performance sports headset for intense running. While the Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity offers low latency for watching TV, the form factor is strictly functional. It is not designed to stay on securely during vigorous activity where it might bounce or slide, nor does it offer the open-air feel that allows you to hear traffic or conversations around you. If your primary use case involves moving around, talking to others, or needing a sleek aesthetic, this heavy-duty sleep tool will feel too bulky and out of place.

The Domary Earbuds Headphones Open take a completely different approach by focusing on the intersection of audio technology and personal style. These are not just listening devices; they are accessories. The defining feature is the inclusion of detachable earrings that allow you to switch between a functional pair of headphones and a piece of jewelry. This makes them particularly appealing for women who want to integrate tech into their daily wardrobe without sacrificing elegance. The rose gold finish and the ability to remove the earpieces mean you can wear them as subtle studs or transform them into full audio units instantly.
From a functional standpoint, these earbuds are engineered for the wearer who has small ears, wears glasses, or has long hair that gets tangled in traditional over-ear designs. Weighing only 4.5 grams per bud, they rest gently on the ear without blocking the canal. This open-ear design creates an "airy" sound experience that avoids the isolation and pressure fatigue common with sealed in-ear buds. You get clear vocals and balanced sound, making them excellent for podcasts, phone calls, or background music while you work or commute. The secure fit ensures they stay in place even when you move, eliminating the slipping and pinching issues that plague many other wireless earbuds.
However, you must consider your listening environment before committing. Because these do not seal the ear canal, they do not block out external noise. If you are in a loud office, a noisy gym, or a busy street, you will hear everything around you. They are also not suitable for sleeping on your side, as the hard casing and the earring attachment would likely cause discomfort or pressure on the ear when lying down. If your main goal is to fall asleep while watching TV or listening to white noise, these lack the necessary padding and form factor to provide that level of relaxation. They are daytime tools for awareness and style, not nighttime aids for darkness and silence.
• Best for side sleeping → Perytong Sleep Headphones, thanks to the flat, felt-covered speakers that eliminate ear pain when lying down.
• Best for glasses wearers → Domary Earbuds Headphones Open, as the open design prevents the pinching and slipping often caused by frames pressing against earbuds.
• Best for battery life during sleep → Perytong Sleep Headphones, offering over 10 hours of continuous playback compared to the 4–8 hours of the Domary model.
• Best for fashion and versatility → Domary Earbuds Headphones Open, featuring detachable earrings that double as jewelry for a unique style upgrade.
• Best for TV watching while lying down → Perytong Sleep Headphones, providing the comfort required to watch content for extended periods without shifting position.
• Best for active movement → Domary Earbuds Headphones Open, with a secure, lightweight fit designed for workouts and walking without falling out.
• Best for ambient awareness → Domary Earbuds Headphones Open, allowing you to hear your surroundings naturally due to the open-ear architecture.
• Best for travel naps → Perytong Sleep Headphones, as the automatic shut-off and comfortable band make them ideal for power naps on planes or trains.
After weighing the specs and design intent of both options, I would buy the Perytong Sleep Headphones for my own needs, specifically because I am looking for the best gaming headphones for tv watching while relaxing in bed. The ability to lie on my side without discomfort is a dealbreaker that the Domary option simply cannot match. While the Domary earbuds are undeniably stylish and great for the office or a walk, they fail the fundamental test of sleep comfort. If your priority is a peaceful night's rest or enjoying a movie without waking a partner, the Perytong's specialized design is the superior choice.
Yes, both models support Bluetooth connectivity. The Perytong features Bluetooth 5.4 with low latency, making it excellent for syncing audio with video on tablets or phones, while the Domary offers a stable 10-meter transmission range suitable for streaming content nearby.
No, the Domary Earbuds Headphones Open use an open-ear design that does not create a seal in the ear canal. This allows sound to feel natural and airy but means they do not isolate you from outside noise, unlike traditional in-ear buds.
The Perytong Sleep Headphones offer a significantly longer runtime of over 10 hours on a single charge, whereas the Domary earbuds provide between 4 to 8 hours of continuous playback depending on volume levels.
Generally, electronics integrated into fabric require spot cleaning to protect the internal components and battery.
