If you want deep, immersive sound for sleeping without pressure on your temples while wearing glasses, choose Perytong Sleep Headphones; if you need stylish, open-ear audio for all-day wear that pairs perfectly with eyewear and daily activities, choose soinfo Open Earphones.
• Perytong Sleep Headphones: The standout strength is its ultra-thin, flat speaker design specifically engineered for side sleepers who wear glasses, offering over 10 hours of continuous playtime; however, the trade-off is that it is not designed for active sports or outdoor use where ambient awareness is needed.
• soinfo Open Earphones: This pick shines with its unique jewelry-inspired aesthetic and secure clip-on design that fits comfortably alongside glasses frames for all-day wear; the main limitation is the shorter battery life compared to the headband and its lack of isolation for quiet environments.
• Who is each pick for?: The Perytong is strictly for the light sleeper and insomniac seeking comfort in bed, while the soinfo is for the fashion-conscious professional or fitness enthusiast who needs to stay aware of their surroundings.
The Perytong Sleep Headphones are built around a singular, highly specific problem: how do you listen to music, audiobooks, or white noise without pain when you are lying on your side? Most traditional headphones press against the ear cartilage, which becomes unbearable after an hour of tossing and turning, especially for those of us who rely on glasses for vision even at night. This device solves that by embedding two thin, flat speakers directly into the fabric of a stretchable headband. The material is described as having a super elastic lining that is sweat-absorbent and breathable, but more importantly, it features felt-covered earpieces that lie flat against the skull. This means you can rest your cheek directly on a pillow without crushing the driver or feeling a hard plastic edge digging into your skin.
For anyone who wears glasses, this design offers a distinct advantage over standard earbuds or bulky over-ear cans. The headband distributes the weight across the top of the head rather than pinching the ears, which is often a dealbreaker for glasses wearers during long listening sessions. The Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity ensures a stable connection to phones or tablets, allowing for low latency streaming of videos or ASMR tracks. With a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz and dynamic drivers, the audio quality aims for high fidelity without harshness, helping users drift off naturally. The inclusion of a built-in microphone means you can take hands-free calls without removing the band, a feature that is surprisingly useful for night shift workers or parents who might need to answer a call while settling back down.

However, this product is not a general-purpose headphone. It is a specialized tool for sleep and relaxation. If you are looking for something to wear while running outside, hiking, or working out in a gym where you need to hear traffic or gym equipment, this is not the right choice. The design prioritizes comfort and isolation from the environment to help you fall asleep, not situational awareness. Furthermore, the charging time of about 2.5 hours is necessary to unlock the promised 10+ hours of playback, so you need to plan ahead before bed. Once the battery runs out, the device shuts off automatically rather than beeping, which is a critical feature for preventing sleep disruption. If you are a heavy side sleeper with thick frames, this headband accommodates that geometry better than almost any other sleep-specific audio device on the market.
The soinfo Open Earphones approach the concept of wearable audio from a completely different angle: fashion meets function. These are not just gadgets; they are designed to look like exquisite earrings with diamond-studded accents, blending avant-garde style with crystal clear sound. The primary user here is someone who wants to listen to podcasts, music, or take calls while remaining fully connected to their environment. The open-ear design means there is no seal in the ear canal, allowing ambient sound to pass through naturally. This makes them ideal for office settings, commutes, or light workouts where safety and social interaction are priorities.
For glasses wearers, the soinfo design addresses a common frustration: the "sandwich" effect where earbuds push glasses arms into the temple, causing headaches after an hour. The soinfo uses a secure-clip design that hugs the ear with zero pressure. The description notes that it feels like wearing nothing at all, weighing just 4.5 grams per unit. This lightweight construction, combined with the open structure, prevents the clamping force that often aggravates temples when wearing spectacles. The Bluetooth 5.4 technology provides a stable connection up to 10 meters, ensuring that your phone in your pocket doesn't cause dropouts while you move around. The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) mentioned in the controls refers to the microphone's ability to block background noise for callers, not for isolating you from the world—a crucial distinction for open-ear designs.
While these are excellent for daily wear, they come with trade-offs regarding endurance and audio immersion. The battery capacity is significantly smaller than the Perytong, with a charging time of 1.5 hours and a much shorter total usage window implied by the smaller internal battery size (35mAh per bud). They are not meant to last through a full work day or a long flight without a recharge. Additionally, because they are open-ear, they offer no passive noise isolation; loud environments will be audible, and people nearby can hear your audio at higher volumes. However, for the user who values aesthetics and wants a device that doubles as a fashion accessory, the ability to switch between a functional earbud and a decorative earring is a unique selling point. They are perfect for the professional who moves between meetings, the student who needs to study in a busy library, or the fitness enthusiast who needs to stay aware of their workout space.

After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases for both devices, I would choose the Perytong Sleep Headphones if my primary goal was to improve my sleep quality and manage insomnia while wearing glasses.
