If you want long battery life headphones for remote work or a device specifically designed for sleeping without ear pain, choose Perytong Sleep Headphones; if you need stylish best with mic headband headphones that double as fashion accessories for daily wear and running, choose Jelquix Open Ear Headphones.
• Perytong Sleep Headphones: The standout strength is its ultra-thin, fabric-based design engineered for side sleepers and overnight use with over 10 hours of playback; the trade-off is a bulkier profile on the head compared to standard earbuds, making it less suitable for active sports during the day.
• Jelquix Open Ear Headphones: Its greatest asset is the unique detachable earring design that offers an open-ear listening experience perfect for situational awareness and style, but it sacrifices all-day battery endurance with only 4–8 hours of playtime per charge.
• The Verdict: Pick Perytong if your priority is uninterrupted rest or background audio while lying down; pick Jelquix if you prioritize fashion, comfort for glasses wearers, and keeping your ears open to the world.
The Perytong Sleep Headphones are built around a very specific problem: how do you listen to music, audiobooks, or white noise without crushing your ears or waking up with soreness? This construction makes it uniquely suited for side sleepers who cannot tolerate in-ear buds or bulky over-ear cans. When you lie down, the "on-ear" dynamic drivers sit flush against your head, distributing pressure evenly so you never feel that painful pinching sensation common with other wireless options.
For the person who works night shifts, deals with a snoring partner, or simply needs to drift off to ASMR tracks without disturbing anyone else, this is a functional tool rather than just a gadget. The headband uses high-elastic spandex lining that breathes well, meaning you won't overheat even if you toss and turn. Crucially, the battery logic is tailored for sleepers: it charges in about 2.5 hours and delivers more than 10 hours of continuous playback. If the battery finally dies, the device powers off automatically rather than emitting a beeping warning that would jolt you awake. This silent shutdown feature is a massive advantage for light sleepers who need absolute quiet once their content finishes.
However, this product is not for everyone. Because it is a full headband, it is not ideal for intense physical activities where sweat might soak the fabric or where a loose band could slip during vigorous movement. While the Bluetooth 5.4 connection ensures low latency for watching videos, the form factor is strictly passive during sleep or sedentary relaxation. You should skip this option if you are looking for something to wear while hiking, cycling, or attending a loud gym class, as the fabric construction is not designed for the rigors of high-impact sports. It is also not the best choice if you require a discreet look for professional settings, as the bright pink color and visible speaker pads make it obvious that you are wearing headphones.
The Jelquix Open Ear Headphones take a completely different approach by merging jewelry with technology. These are not traditional earbuds or a headband; they are wireless earbuds attached to a pair of earrings. The design philosophy here is situational awareness and aesthetics. Because the drivers do not seal inside the ear canal, the sound remains open and natural. This prevents the "pressure" feeling or fatigue that comes from sealed in-ear monitors, making them excellent for people who need to hear their surroundings while listening to podcasts or taking calls. The specs mention a secure fit that accommodates small ears, long hair, and glasses wearers without slipping or pinching, which solves a common pain point for users who struggle to find comfortable buds.

This product shines when you need to stay connected to the world while enjoying audio. Whether you are running outdoors, commuting, or working from a coffee shop, the open-back design lets ambient noise in naturally. The transmission range of 10 meters provides reliable connectivity for moving around a room or yard without dropping the signal. The materials—ABS, silicone, and Ti wire—are chosen for durability and lightweight comfort, with each earbud weighing just 4.5 grams. This featherweight design means you can wear them for extended periods without feeling the burden of heavy hardware. The detachable nature of the earrings allows you to swap out the audio component for regular jewelry or vice versa, offering versatility that standard headphones simply cannot match.
Despite these strengths, there are clear limitations to consider regarding power and privacy. The battery capacity is listed as 100mAh per earbud, resulting in a total playback time of only 4 to 8 hours. This is significantly lower than the Perytong's 10+ hour capability, meaning you will likely need to recharge them mid-day if you have a long shift or a long run. Furthermore, because they do not offer any active noise cancellation or even passive isolation, they are useless for blocking out distractions. If you are trying to focus in a noisy office or fall asleep in a busy household, the open design will let every sound in. They are also not intended for deep immersion in music; the tuning prioritizes vocal clarity and smooth balance, so bass-heavy genres might not deliver the punch some listeners expect.
• Best for battery life → Perytong Sleep Headphones: With over 10 hours of continuous playback, these last through an entire night of sleep or a full workday without needing a top-up, whereas Jelquix requires charging after a single work shift.
• Best for sleep and side-sleeping comfort → Perytong Sleep Headphones: The flat, felt-covered speakers lay flush against the head, eliminating the ear pain caused by in-ear buds or bulky cans, a feature Jelquix lacks entirely.
• Best for situational awareness and safety → Jelquix Open Ear Headphones: The open-ear design keeps your ear canal unblocked, allowing you to hear traffic, colleagues, or family members while listening to audio, which is impossible with the closed-headband design of Perytong.
• Best for fashion and accessories → Jelquix Open Ear Headphones: The detachable earring feature turns headphones into jewelry, making them a stylish statement piece for women, while Perytong is purely a utility item for sleep or relaxation.
• Best for remote work and hands-free calls → Perytong Sleep Headphones: Both have microphones, but the Perytong's built-in controls allow for easy song skipping and call handling without touching a phone, ideal for those lying in bed or resting.
• Best for glasses wearers and small ears → Jelquix Open Ear Headphones: Specifically noted for fitting securely without pinching or slipping, accommodating glasses frames better than the tight tension of a headband might for some users.
• Best for travel and meditation → Perytong Sleep Headphones: The ability to block out snoring partners and provide a consistent audio source for insomnia makes it a superior travel companion for rest, whereas Jelquix is too exposed for a quiet flight or nap.
• Best value for daily active use → Jelquix Open Ear Headphones: If you need a device for running, walking, or gym sessions where you want to hear your environment, the lightweight, sweat-resistant design is more practical than a heavy fabric headband.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would personally buy the Perytong Sleep Headphones if my primary goal was improving my sleep quality or managing insomnia. The combination of the 10-hour battery, the automatic shut-off feature, and the specialized side-sleeper design addresses a critical health need that the Jelquix cannot touch. However, if I were looking for long battery life headphones for remote work that could double as a fashion statement for a woman who wears glasses, I would lean toward the Jelquix Open Ear Headphones. Their unique earring design offers a level of versatility and social awareness that the Perytong simply does not provide. Ultimately, the choice depends on whether you need a tool for rest (Perytong) or a tool for living and moving (Jelquix).
Yes, both products feature built-in microphones. The Perytong model includes volume controls and call handling buttons on the headband, while the Jelquix earbuds support hands-free calling with clear vocal tuning.
The Perytong Sleep Headphones are the clear winner for overnight use, offering more than 10 hours of playback on a single charge. The Jelquix Open Ear Headphones provide 4 to 8 hours, which may not be sufficient for a full night of sleep without recharging.
The Jelquix Open Ear Headphones are explicitly designed to accommodate glasses wearers without pinching or slipping, thanks to their lightweight bud design. The Perytong headband is generally comfortable but may press against the arms of glasses depending on the user's head shape.
The Jelquix Open Ear Headphones are better suited for running due to their secure, lightweight fit and open-ear design that maintains situational awareness. The Perytong headband is designed primarily for sleep and low-activity scenarios like yoga or meditation, not high-intensity cardio.
